The Society operates a miniature railway in Abbotsfield Park since 1948 at Chassen Road, Flixton, in the Borough of Trafford, Manchester. We run every Sunday throughout the year except Christmas Day. And some Banh Holidays. Weather permitting. The railway is a continuous circuit of 2200 feet (670 metres) of raised track comprising both 3 1/2" and 5" gauges. It is one of the largest elevated tracks in the country. The price of a ride is 30p per adult or child.

Parked at the door...always a bonus! Meal arrived...steaks cooked perfectly & sizzling on a hot plate. Home made chips, a nice bowl of crisp salad & 2 glasses of wine. Really nice meal, thoroughly enjoyed by us both. Thank you

Bar and off-licence. Twelve taps of craft beer, cask ale and real cider. Dozens of packaged craft beers to drink in or take home, all refrigerated. Locally-produced small-batch spirits plus fine wine, fizz and whiskies. Well-behaved dogs kept on a lead are welcome inside our bar where free dog treats and water bowls are available. Outdoor seating in season.
This is a great pub for the local community and visitors to Urmston. Very friendly and welcoming staff ready to introduce you to an ever-changing selection real ales from local microbreweries and a vast range of European, American craft and modern British beers. Events take place on a regular basis - I particularly enjoy the Tuesday quiz night.

Me and my partner stated to come here when we first moved to Urmston six years ago. We can firmly say that the Nelly has become one of our beloved locals. The land lady and land lord, their family and staff are very down to earth and friendly. The Pub is always doing its bit for local charities.
