Its capital is Linz. Upper Austria borders on Germany and the Czech Republic, as well as on the other Austrian states of Lower Austria, Styria, and Salzburg. We made a boat trip from Gmunden to Traunkirchen and could admire this unique place during hours. The Traunstein is impressive and the (after COVID-lockdown) very quiet lake was highly appreciated.

Very nice scenery to hike , there are swans, ducks and other animals you can see along the hike. Very clean water coming from the mountains

Bike around, swim in the lake, visit lovely towns St. Wolfgang, Strobl, St. Gilgen, take a boat trip, go to Schafberg by railway and enjoy astonishing views
