We get views of the wildlife of the salt marsh that people almost never have an opportunity to see. We sail daily from April until October so we always know where we are likely to see the most interesting birds and with 25 years of experience running these tours we know where we are likely to have the best trip. Our route varies daily depending on conditions.

Amazing sunset tour of White Pockets with Jeff and an even more amazing day at Coyote Buttes South with Ron the next day. Toured White Pockets with Jeff for sunset-got to hike around the area and was treated to a late arrival of golden hour high clouds for sunset photos. Coyote Buttes South (permit area) was even more amazing. Lots of oohs and aahs at every corner. Guided to many off the beaten path locations by Ron, who is a wealth of information on local flora and fauna. If you're ready for lots of up and down hiking, you are in for special "bucket list" hike and experience.

Paul is such a great tour guide! He is not only knowledgeable and super friendly, but also well managed our expectation by communicating clearly the tour details before the tour day. He is also passionate about his job and has never asked us to give tips or reviews like other tours may do. I rarely write reviews but this one does make me want to leave one here. The place Valley of Fire itself is stunning and breathtaking.

We chose to do this slot hike with Cathy Church, a local guide that everyone we asked recommended. Well it was a great recommendation and quite an adventure for the two of us. We met early in am and she drove us out to the slot canyon through the desert and boy quite a ride but she handled the tricky driving with ease, never felt in danger. We got to the canyon at the perfect time with the sun peaking down through as we hiked and climbed our way to the end. Was only one other couplle there at the same time and that was wonderful for our picture taking of the lovely colors. Cathy is fund and very well versed in the local area and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We were scheduled to do Antelope Canyon which is I am sure very beautiful ut would have had too deal with the multitude of other people there. This was a very wise choice for us to experience the Slot canyon and we are fortunate to have had Cathy as our guide. Highty recommend this tour.

I provide water, a snack bar and a backpack for each hiker. We'll hike in the Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument on some the best trails in the Greater Palm Springs Area. I know these trails very well & the best viewpoints along the way to enjoy some of the most beautiful views of Palm Springs & far beyond. You'll see desert plants & cacti close up as we hike. You'll see from the desert valley floor below all the way up to beautiful nearby mountain peaks, while getting in some great exercise. I'll point out interesting landmarks along the way, like the very unique Bob Hope house, Mt San Gorgonio (the tallest mountain in So Cal), Indian Canyons & other points of interest. Depending on the time of year I've seen the endangered Peninsular Bighorn Sheep on this hike. They'll be lots of opportunities for taking beautiful scenic photos & I'll point out some of the best photo spots. If you want to do this hike or any of my hikes on a certain date/time contact me, thanks.
Inclusions: I will provide a backpack for each hiker or you can use your own., I will provide water for each hiker., I'll provide 1 granola bar for each hiker,

I wear trail running shoes for example.
Hiking with Carlos was such an enjoyable experience. He customized the hike exactly to my schedule and expectations, and we went on a 5-hour hiking on the southern mountains of Palm Springs. He was a very experienced guide to plan out the timing and routing, as well as offering the guiding and learning experience. The view throughout was gorgeous with a combination of both the civilizations as well as the lower desert mountains. I’m really glad that that I booked this tour as I probably won’t be able to hike the trials on my own. So for any travelers who are looking for a unique hiking experience around Palm Springs area, get in touch with Carlos to speak about your thoughts, and you won’t regret it.
