Our Happy Tour tour group stopped here for a mid-morning break. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food and coffee outstanding. I’d love to have the recipe for the gingerbread. It was outstanding. I highly recommend taking a break here. The service was friendly and fast.

Hardie Park is a community led family park and open green space. Local residents took ownership after a period of neglect with the guidance of local resident Rob Groves in order to develop and enhance the area for the benefit of the local community. Friends of Hardie Park are a Registered Charity and Community Interest Company and a not-for-profit organisation. Over a period of years the site has developed enormously and is now run by our Board of Trustees (since Oct 2020) with a passionate team of staff and volunteers. The site is open 7 days a week and provides a cafe, toilets, play facility, skate park, a varied events programme and more recently a cycle hub providing low cost re-furbished bikes to the community. The cafe is also used as a base for many groups with clubs and act Hardie Park Registered charity number 1172078

Had a lovely evening (another one) at The Ludoquist last night with a friend where we managed to play 5 games, a couple of beers and pizza (which was piping hot and delicious) in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are always lovely whether they are just taking your order at the counter or if you are asking for game recommendations or help with a game. I've never had a bad evening there and will certainly be returning again very soon. It's probably my favourite place to go out to nowadays and I hope to be able to make more regular trips there in the coming months, whether it's for an organised gaming evening such as the Light Wargaming that they put on or just meeting up with some friends. For me it is definitely the best place in Croydon.

This has to be one of the best Farm Shops and PYO around. Lots of lovely fruit and veg, both on sale and for picking. Plenty of car parking and great for kids too. Covid rules well organised.

Victoria Leeds has some gorgeous shops, not to mention my favourite bar in Leeds, Issho. The arcades are absolutely stunning and the staff are always lovely. With the Victoria Leeds app there are several in-store events I get invited to, competitions I can enter and much more.

Marwood Hill Garden, Garden Tea Room and Plant Nursery Welcome to this very special private garden tucked secretly away in a Devon valley. Covering some 20 acres, with three beautiful lakes, this tranquil garden will provide a day of both inspiration and relaxation for the whole family. From the moment the first snowdrops poke their little noses through in spring there is so much to see throughout the year until the rich autumnal tints and shiny fat berries of autumn. The magnificent display of blossom from the massed camellias and rhododendrons is followed by a stream of colour in the bog gardens, as carpets of primulas and iris in all the colours of the rainbow, burst forth. The National Collection of Astilbes follows in a foamy symphony of pastel hues and hydrangeas on the hillside, like French petticoats in sky and lilac, sparkle in the sun. We garden with wildlife always in our minds and providing habitats for them is extremely important. Tucked away around the gardens are piles of branches and mounds of leaves home to lots of lovely bugs and beasts! Kingfishers are regular visitors to the lake and the areas of rough grass provide both food and hibernating site for the young of many butterflies and moths. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome. Children under 12 Free.
What a wonderful garden. We visited on a damp day and were the only people there. A beautifully tranquil visit enhanced by a visit to the lovely tea rooms where we can strongly recommend the ginger scones.
