Nomadic tribal heritage and modern society co-exist in the UAE, a federation of seven emirates at the southeastern edge of the Arabian Peninsula. Look beyond the desert that consumes four-fifths of its area and you'll find UAE capital Abu Dhabi, an oil-rich city of skyscrapers, parks and malls, and Dubai, with its split personality of luxury resorts and covered marketplaces, upscale boutiques and local artisans. For a break from urban sprawl, journey over rolling red sand dunes into the Hatta Mountains, where the 200-year-old Sharia Mosque sits amid 30 restored buildings of sandalwood and mud.

The tennis is Dubai (certainly for the early rounds) is incredibly cheap and well worth a visit. 55AED last year and I saw Federer, the same again this year and saw Djokovic. There are plenty of food and drink outlets in the Irish Village so you will stay entertained! Seating is free for all so if you want the best seats then get in early. I would say though that there aren't really any bad seats in the stadium.

We try to go back every year to attend the Dubai Rugby Sevens event. It’s a great time out with the family and friends and has all ages present. Food, drinks, music and a great atmosphere. So far never disappointed and recommend to go if you have never been.

My first time to this venue and it was on point. Beautiful 'standing' area where we sat down on the grass as did everyone else there, eating and drinking whilst listening to the back up bands before Lionel came on. It was a fabulous evening. Then everyone did stand for Lionel and what a performance, sooo worth it! Annoying point of the night. Wanted a bottle of wine, however they pour the whole bottle into 2 large cups.. They need to rethink this as takes the enjoyment out of wine being poured into huge large beer type cups.. In saying that, I would definitely return to this venue. Great central location too.

This is the best concert venue in the UAE not just Abu Dhabi. Holds 15-20,000 max which has a nice vibe especially when big bands play there.Just about every major band that visits the UAE plays there. In recent years I remember Muse, Rolling Stones,Guns n' Roses & the late Prince being especially good.

Coca Cola Arena is a new landmark in downtown Dubai built by Meeras group. We attended the concert of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on 27th December. The security arrangement was great, within 2 minutes we were inside. We had the tickets of VIP box on 3rd floor. There were people standing all along the way to guide us to reach our box. The VIP box was great with a sitting capacity of about 30 people with private toilet only for box guests.. There was a complimentary lavish buffet spread of fruits, dry fruit, snacks, main course, desert and soft drinks. The arena had a capacity of 17K and the show was 90% full. The lighting and acoustic were of very high standard. The entire arena was of world class. It was really a dream come true to hear magical voice of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in such an excellent setting. The exit was equally smooth. Our box had its own lift to go down. The police arrangement was top class. The new landmark not to be missed while in Dubai !!
