Glacier cruise to the Folgefonna glacier, with fjord cruise and VIP car transportation. Typically we start around 10:00, you are picked up on in the hotel garden, next to the swimming pool. We cruise out the Hardanger Fjord to the village Jondal, where our VIP car (BMW X5) is waiting for you. We continue up to the Folgefonna glacier, about 19 km. Up at the glacier, we can either just walk over to the glacier for a look, touch and feel, or hire a (VIP) guided tour on the glacier for typically 3 hours. When finished on the glacier, we drive back down to the village. We can have lunch at the local Jondal hotel, or continue to Odda city by car for lunch, with some more options. After lunch we drive to the Låtefoss waterfall 15 minutes up the valley from Odda, spectacular waterfall. Return to hotel by car, and we should be back around 18:00. We stayed at hotel in Eidfjord, and visited most of the attractions around Eidfjord, a lot to see and do. One of the days we had booked this trip, and the boat picked us up after breakfast. Easy to find the boat. We cruised out the Hardanger Fjord, with great view to all the mountains and villages along the fjord, sitting on the Flybridge. Captain had prepared fresh coffee and snacks, and we enjoyed the cruise very much. Speed was adjusted for us, we had the whole day available and went slow for parts of the distance. When we arrived in Jondal, we moved into the waiting car, and drove up through some valleys to to Folgefonna glacier. About half an hour up there, but nice view all the way, great nature. Closer to the top we could also see the fjord from the top of the mountains. At Folgfefonna we had not ordered a private tour, but was still able to visit the glacier edge, and feel the blue ice. We know it was possible to have a private hike for 3 hours or more, to cross the ice on top. Stil a very nice experience just to be there. Back down in the Jondal village we drove back towards the hotel with car instead of boat, as we wanted to see other places as well. We therefore had lunch in Odda, and visited the waterfall up there (Låtefoss) after. Driving back towards Eidfjord also passing some other beautifull villages, and the Hardanger bridge. We were back around 6:30. We reccomend this daytrip, very friendly captain of the boat, and driver.

We took this gorgeous tour even without any info, but it was the best part of our trip! Well-Organised, fast and comfortable. Every point was perfectly organised with the help of guide, who told us facts about sights all the way, he pointed the best views for making photos, this is very important for me as tourist. All transport tickets were sent to us, we didn't have any problems. Next time in Bergen we obviously would take these tours. Recommend! Recommend! Recommend!

10. Private Cider Farm Route

B-Active Center Ulvik, Tyssevikvegen 31, 5730 Ulvik, Norway B-Active Center

Ulvik is probably most famous for its fruit and cider farms. The Hardanger Fjord area is known as the fruit orchard of Norway. Nowhere on the world is it possible to grow fruit on this latitude (about 60 degrees north). The mild climate in the Hardanger region, the protective geography from the elements and the long summer days add up to an ideal location for fruit farming.  We take you along the cider route and stop by these family run cider farms where you can experience the pride and legacy, which the owners have put in their products for generations. Every cider farm has its unique specialty and approach to processing fruit and food. And we might just have a tasting sample on the way.

Inclusions: Tastings of Local Cider and Apple Brandy, Tastings of Local Apple Juice
