This is a place one must visit, and preferably in the winter, to appreciate and be mesmerized by the beauty, grandeur and magnificence of the Arctic.

You could spend a few hours here easily. The heritage and history is explained very well, some great exhibits and back story of the area. Not much to do in Barrow and this is a must.

A short flight from Anchorage, arriving at the northernmost community in the USA and one of the northernmost in the world is an experience by itself. The short shuttle ride to the Top of the World Hotel tour office and many vivid scenes make life in such an environment become abundantly clear. After enjoying a great meal with portions enough for two (at least) a wonderful tour experience begins with your guide Mary. Experienced, very pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating.
