Had the opportunity to visit the temple on a Kalashtami day. Surprised to see what was offered to the deity. Liquor was the main offering and it was really poured into the mouth of the deity and disappeared in a few seconds. Blessed to be there.

Awesome .. totally loved it .. takes you to another era.. the 64 forms of the art learned by Sri Krishna is depicted beautifully. The temple where there the the murthi of Guru Sandipani and his disciples Sri Krishna, Balarama and Sudama (sitting and writing ) is just lovely and very charged.

We went during the evening aarti only when all the diyas are lit up and the atmosphere becomes charged up and mesmerising with Arti and dhol nagada sounds and the view of diya is such a treat for the senses and the soul ofcourse. Do yourself a favour by going during the sunset only. Yes this is Shaktipeeth of Godess Sati so has significance for Shiva devotees visiting Mahakaaleshwar Jyotirlinga. Jai Mahakaal!
