What to do and see in Uffizi, Tuscany: The Best Bars & Clubs

November 8, 2021 Nicolette Lion

Florence is an art historian’s dream. The Galleria dell'Accademia bursts with works by Michelangelo, who is entombed within the frescoed walls of the Basilica di Santa Croce. Budding photographers can snap pics of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and serious shoppers can spend a blissful afternoon wandering the shops of Piazza Santo Spirito. Tuscan cuisine pays homage to the region’s bounty. Swipe a hunk of crusty bread across a pool of local olive oil and you’ll be instantly transported to your happiest place.

We've been here 3 times in a week, awesome American bar food, beer, and college and NFL games. Also made it for NYE and the steak was fantastic. Cool staff, nice people, and just fun times.

Vanilla Club - Speakeasy

. It was during the prohibition era in the United States that the Speakeasy bar was born. These bars were a hidden venue at secret locations and were renowned for their unique cocktails and illegal spirits. The bars were unmarked by illuminated lights or able to be seen through large windows so patrons only learnt of their location by word of mouth and were only admitted inside with a secret password. Like a popular bars today the prohibition era attracted a happy noisy crowd after enjoyng a few drinks, but back then it had the risk of attracting the police, so bartenders in an attempt to quiet the crowd would say " Speak Easy Boys!" hence the term "Speakeasy". The Vanilla Club today is reminiscent of those hidden and secret bars of days gone by, a venue furnished in style hidden from the world above.
