This store is a gem! We had a wonderful visit today. Beautiful art ranging from Canadian post impressionist to native to folk to abstract and beyond. There are even some fun and quirky steam punk pieces. It’s a joy to visit, eye candy all around, and lovely owners and staff. And we got to meet Mr. T the cat!

Lester B. Pearson Peace Park

The Lester B Pearson Peace Park is a free 17 acre Park. It was established in 1967 as a Memorial Park to Mothers who had lost their children in War and as a symbol of peace by means of a Pagoda donated by Japanese Buddhists. Since 2002, we have added a nature trail with 32 signs explaining what local animals and plants are in the Park. We have a picnic\rest area and washrooms for visitors.

This park is just a small park with a picnic area, a few walking trails and open areas surrounded by statues and monuments dedicated to world peace, war veterans and mothers of the world. It is well maintained and conveniently located right on the Trans Canada Highway (Highway #7) just a few miles west of Highway #37 which is about half way between Ottawa and Toronto. Perfect place to stop for a leg stretch.
