Located at Piazza della Signoria, the Fountain of Neptune is a large, beautiful, and impressive sight to see in Florence. Although it was a very crowded area, we loved seeing this true work of art.

We stayed at the Grand Plaza Hotel and this fountain was the view from our window. We enjoyed sitting in the Piazza del Popolo people watching and listening to a street musician.

A quick visit to the boar and insert a coin via it's mouth for a safe return to Florence. I would recommend going early in the morning or mid evening as it was very busy when we visited. Free water near by.

This is located by walking away from the Basilica di San Domenico down the many steps/slope & turn back on yurself. It's a lovely place to go away from the crowds & great shade. There are steps to sit on & rest. The water is supposedly drinkable say the guide books but although it's quite clear there are a lot of big beautiful fish swimming in it so I wouldn't advise it. The arches & history of the place are lovely.
