We were staying at the bottom of the hill and I am so pleased we booked tickets to watch this amazing concert. The concert was for an hour and a half and we heard masterful performances of: W. A. Mozart, Quintetto per archi No.3, KV 516 R. Schumann, Quintetto per pianoforte, op.47 I understand that the musicians meet with the crowd afterwards with a glass of new prosecco but our two kids were tired. The standard of music in the little hilltop village with some 100 people was immense. Typical Tuscany - something very special just under our noses. I would go again!

Italian Opera in Santa Monaca Church

Reviewed By jimmys2587 - Kirrawee, Australia

Amazing Opera in a great old (former) church. With no more than 60 people filling up the space you feel as if you're really a part of the music. Both the performers, the female tenor and male piano player were incredible and put everything in to their performances. A must do in Florence. My wife and I aren't huge Opera buffs but I defy anyone to go to one of these shows and not be blown away!!
