Karatau State Nature Reserve is located in the Central part of the Karatau ridge, which It is a branch of the northwestern arches of the Tien Shan in the territory of the South Kazakhstan region. The slopes of the ridge are dissected by deep valleys of numerous rivers and temporary streams with seasonal surface runoff almost everywhere.

The territory of the Sairam-Ugam State National Natural Park occupies a northeastern position in the system of the Western Tien Shan and is represented by the Ugam, Karzhantau and Boraldaytau massifs, as well as the northwestern spurs of the Talas Alatau. The Ugam, Sairamsu, Kaskasu, Bourgoulyuk, Badam, Mashat and Kokbulak rivers flow through the park.

The territory of the Regional Natural Park consists of 3 branches, represented by several cluster sites: 1. Turkestan branch (23822,498 hectares), 2. Syrdariya branch (59900.92 hectares), 3. Boraldai branch (36255 hectares) is located at the northern end of the Boraldaytau ridge. The territory of the park includes mountainous, sandy desert, landscape complexes.

Sairam-Ugam State National Nature Park-is located in the northern part of the Western Tien Shan, in the Turkestan region.The territory of the national park is divided into three zones with different access modes: protected mode (closed access), tourist and recreational (recreation area). There are seven natural zones in the park, from the steppe at the foot of the mountains to the high mountain.

Syrdarya-Turkestan State Regional Natural Park is a specially protected natural area of local significance with the status of a legal entity, located in the Turkestan region.a tugai deer nursery operates on the territory of the park.At the end of 2019, 158 deer lived in the Syrdarya-Turkestan Park: 83 animals in the enclosure and 75 in the adjacent territory.
