Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye [ˈtyɾcije]), officially the Republic of Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti [ˈtyɾcije d͡ʒumˈhuɾijeti] ( listen)), is a transcontinental country in Eurasia, mainly in Anatolia in Western Asia, with a smaller portion on the Balkan peninsula in Southeast Europe. Turkey is bordered by eight countries with Greece and Bulgaria to the northwest; Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, the Azerbaijan and Iran to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the south. The country is encircled by seas on three sides with the Aegean Sea to the west, the Black Sea to the north, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara, and the Dardanelles, which together form the Turkish Straits, divide Thrace and Anatolia and separate Europe and Asia. Ankara is the capital while Istanbul is the country's largest city and main cultural and commercial centre, classified as a leading global city.

Cagaloglu Hamami (Turkish Bath) was built in 1741 to provide revenue for both the library of Mahmut I, the Ottoman Sultan of the time, in Hagia Sophia Kulliye (social complex) and for Hagia Sophia Mosque. Architectural plans of the bath was designed by Suleyman Aga, the architect of the court, and the bath was built by Abdullah Aga. Before the construction of Cagaloglu Turkish Bath, the palace built by Nevsehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasa stood on the same location. The palace was destroyed by a fire in 1740, and construction of the Cagaloglu Bath started soon after. The bath has both historical and architectural importance as it is the last great Turkish bath constructed before Sultan Mustafa III prohibited the construction of great baths in 1768, due to the increasing water and firewood needs of the city. Cagaloglu Bath is one of the largest double Turkish baths of Istanbul. Baroque style novelties, a rarely seen quality in Ottoman architecture.
I had the Ottoman Luxury service and had the best experience of Turkish bubble bath followed by massage by Yahya, who ensured I truly enjoy my time. I don’t feel bad saying that I have never felt so clean in my life before. Will definitely recommend to everyone visiting Istanbul for the first time.

The Historical and Luxurious Art of BathingHistorical and Architectural Features“I hope that until the end of days, good hearted friends who take a look at what I have made, when they will perceive the seriousness and the spirit of my effort, can have a fair view and can invoke my name to pray for me.” Mimar Sinan, ArchitectThe Ayasofya Hurrem Sultan Hamam in Istanbul was designed and built by Mimar Sinan, the chief Ottoman architect. It was built at the request of Hurrem Sultan (Roxelana), the wife of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in the 16th century. It was built where the ancient public baths of Zeuxippus used to stand, between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. The area is also particularly significant as the site where the Temple of Zeus once stood.
Amazing experience, worth every penny, amazing massage, if you have any concerns or worries about having a first hammam experience you are in the best hands here. Highly recommend! Will be back for sure next time I am in Istanbul

We tried our first Turkish Bath in March 2020 on a chilly trip to Hurghada Egypt. Now that we’re in Turkey we wanted to try it again. We picked this spa because of its outstanding reviews & we were not disappointed. We arrived about noon on a Tuesday, it was very quiet. We went for the full kleopatra package, paying £100 for both of us- we got a nice discount because the fish pedicures are closed due to Covid19. We did the steam & sauna before going into the hammam. Everything was very clean & the slab isn’t so high you need to jump to get on it. They scrub you with in an inch of your life, following up with bubbles & coffee/honey/milk scrub. We both feel asleep during our face masks & it was very relaxing. We each had an hour message which was amazing. My stress melted away. We’re rebooking for more massages before the end of our trip

Kılıç Ali Paşa Hamam; The elegant authentic surroundings of this Turkish bath, magnificent creation of Mimar Sinan, transcends the timeless barriers between old and new… Giving you an escape from the hustle and bustle of beautiful Istanbul City.Mimar Sinan the legendary Architect of that period was commissioned by “Kilic Ali Pasa” to build the Hamam to withstand the ravages of the sea and time. The large light, Magnificent Dome above the Camegah (relaxation area) is 14 meters across and 17 meters high one of the largest single domes built by Sinan. The features of the Kulhan Chimney/exhaust, the leaded domes and the glass elephant eyes along with brick by brick reappointing, original Kurnas and some carved stone and marble slabs found during excavation have been retained and used within the premises adding to its extreme historical beauty and interest. The Hamam Ritual is an ancient one, the materials used have not significantly changed and used to restore energy and vitality to the body by reducing the toxins, and allowing the skin to breathe again
This Turkish bath has a single gender restricted times with same gender attendants. The staff is very kind and the building is peaceful and beautiful. Be prepared to be bathed in your underwear or bikini (just the bottom is required, but you can wear the top if you like, most don’t). And you do not bathe, you are bathed! Like a toddler being cleaned by their expert mom! After being drenched you’ll have a lie down on a hot marble slab until you’re very warm all through, then more buckets of water and loofa, then an incredible bubble experience with massage and more loofa. You’ll be very clean, and can rest in your towels in the cooler room and have tea/coffee juice. I had a lovely standard western modern massage after that. This place is right at the tram station (do not mistake it for the mosque next door- the hammam is rust-gold colored, the mosque is blue-gray) and super easy to get to on your own.

Had an AMAZING couples hammam here at a really reasonable price. Would definitely recommend it, we were glowing when we left! From sauna, to bubble wash (additionals of foot scrub and mud wrap definitely worthwhile), then spa, followed by a phenomenal massage and face mask. Couldn’t have been a better experience. Heaps of fun (in the hammam) and relaxing (rest of the experience), it’s a must do if you are visiting Kas.

We service Turkish Bath, Oil massagges, Face Care treatments in our Spa. We are located in 4 Stars Askoç Hotel
We never understood how our time was going in there. It's been a long time since I've had such a pleasant time. The staff is concerned and friendly. The massages and skin treatments were great. I loved the decrease in black spots after skincare, i decided to go once a week and relax both my skin and my body. If you want to go with your friends or spouse, I can definitely recommend it.
