Mayan ruins tower over the sea in Tulum. The formerly walled city was one of the last to be built by the Mayans, and its archaeological sites are incredibly well preserved. Take a break from the beach to visit El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and the Temple of the Descending God. Explore an underground river under a canopy of stalactites in the sacred caverns of LabnaHa Eco Park, or dive into Cenote Dos Ojos to snorkel inside of caves in the middle of a forest.

A daring and varied bar of cocktails made from mezcal from different regions of the country makes up the specialty of our bar, where you can enjoy a sophisticated, casual and relaxed atmosphere to the rhythm of a musical curator that highlights the most stimulating scene underground electronics. In addition to our extensive menu of mezcales that seek to recognize the Mexican artisan tradition, you can taste a varied selection of cocktails prepared with hand-made juices, seasonal fruits and herbs and various liquors.

It is like the name says: a paradise! It's one of those beaches where we would like to stay forever, watching the endless crystal clear blue waters, the coconuts palm trees and relaxing on the "hamacas" on that beautiful white sand!

MexicArte offers a wide variety of truly Mexican souvenirs made by individual artisans from throughout Mexico. Items range from tiny, finely made model animals to large, unique original paintings. Everything is hand made and painted and can be chosen in-store and delivered by mail. There is a second MexicArte shop down the road in Akumal Bay and on Tulum Beach road too!
This was one of our favorite shops we found in Tulum. There were some cute and different items that you wouldn’t find in most of the street shops along the main strip. Definitely worth a stop.

Pretty Nails is very clean staff was kind. Marichuy was amazing! I’m extremely picky and she did an amazing job. I’m well traveled and I can honestly say this was the best mani pedi I’ve ever had on a vacation. My husband was also impressed he had a mani/pedi as well. They take their time and do not rush.

Go visit these ruins! MUST SEE. I’ve been about 3 times now. Easy to drive to from your resort or take a local high end shuttle bus from DT Playa Del Carmen. It’s very inexpensive compared to a tour arranged through your resort. Don’t recommend doing it this way if it’s just 1-2-3 of you. The ruins are super cool and are perched high up above Tulum beach which is a little cool spot below via a long staircase. Bring your bathing suite, picnic and enjoy a few hours swimming where the Mayans once did. Enjoy!
