The mission of the SMMJA is to preserve and promote Jewish heritage, culture, history and community through art and education.Through exhibitions and educational programs focusing on Jewish culture, history, religion, and art, the Museum hopes people will come to understand and identify with the Jewish experience. The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art (SMMJA) and its collections have been a part of Tulsa for decades. It began in 1965 when a local synagogue brought a traveling exhibit, “Traditional Ceremonial Art,” from the Jewish Museum in New York to the Tulsa community. It generated great interest in Jewish culture and art, and the following year, the Gershon and Rebecca Fenster Gallery of Jewish Art opened to the public. Sherwin Miller, the first Curator of the Gallery, began collecting Jewish art and artifacts in earnest. In 2000, the Museum was renamed the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art to recognize the achievements and contributions of its first curator.
Free through December, 2020. Two floors of the life and life cycle events of Jews as well as sculptures and stain glass windows. Due to Covid19 attendees have their temperature taken and sign a paper regarding their current health.

This is a fabulous teaching garden. The landscaping and plantings are top-notch. All plants are are tested for this area. Plantings change from time to time to allow for new additions. The garden includes a wonderful waterfall and small koi pond; a vegetable garden, a fountain garden, a small green house and much more. You can see the entire garden in as little as 30-45 minutes, but you could spend much more time looking at the labeled plantings. There are always Master Gardeners available for questions. It's just a great place! It is adjacent to Woodward Park and Tulsa Garden Center.

The Cave House in a landmark in Tulsa. It was built in 1924, as a Chicken Restaurant. Built during prohibition, it was a place you could quench your thirst! It not only has quirky architecture, but it probably best known for its stories, full of interesting and sometimes amusing information. It is a great date, or family adventure, and as the owner I love to share it! It is best to call, or message ahead, as I do not have regular hours. Due to scheduling for private tours and groups, and because travelers request all days and times, I try to schedule according to requests as best as I can. The cost is $10.00 for ages 16yr. and older. Ages 15yr and younger are $5.00.
My wife and I couldn't believe the Rich American History behind such a seemingly small roadside attraction! Linda's warm and welcoming presence took us offguard for her vast knowledge of Oklahoma and the Prohibition Era. Everything about this attraction completly blew us out of the water! In an hour, Linda took us into a storybook of detail about the crazy owners of the cave house over the years dating back to when it was a speakeasy for bootleggers. This place is a must book tour for visiting Tulsa!

My wife and I recently attended a private event here and were blown away by how peaceful and beautiful it is! And what is there now is just a fraction of what it will become over the next several years as they continue to execute their multiyear master plan. Beautiful, beautiful gardens and fountains and a peaceful place to stroll and meditate on a sunny day. We are now proud members!
