Although Tucson's fantastic weather, national parks and forests and desert provide the perfect environment for tons of outdoor recreational activities, this city of half a million people also has its share of history and culture. With a history that goes back much further than many of its southwestern neighbors, Tucson boasts turn-of-the-century architecture, historic neighborhoods, museums and the Mission San Xavier del Bac, a still-functioning 18th-century mission considered one of the most beautiful in the U.S. Mexican and Native American influences are pervasive, and the city has a distinctly Western flavor. There's also a college-town atmosphere, thanks to the University of Arizona, which has its own share of museums and a science center. Whether golfing at a world-class golf resort, horseback riding, hiking in the wilderness, discovering desert flora and fauna at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum or exploring pre-Columbian and other art at the Tucson Art Museum, you'll have a mind-boggling array of things to do.

We did an early morning private ride with Bobbi leading us. It was peaceful and we had great conversations. The weather was a little chilly but we dressed accordingly and the sun ended up coming out towards the end. The horses are matched your ability and they were both easy to ride. Bobbi and the staff were all very friendly. They have a good location and a wonderful business. I highly recommend the experience.

My second ride with Mystery and I can't wait to come back. I did a sunset first and most recently a 2 hour morning ride. She is a great guide and horsewoman. The horses, scenery, and entire experience are top notch. If you want a fun and unique adventure I highly recommend Tucson Mountain Stables.

We took our grandkids ages 10 to 13 years old horseback riding with Chris last week. Chris made the ride really fun for everyone. He trailered his horses to the Tanque Verde wash for a shady, scenic ride in the wash. He has great horses! He first does a short lesson showing everyone how to handle his horses. There is no doubt his horses are treated very well with lots of love, which makes all the difference. Chris’s horses weren’t like the usual trail horses. You get a personalized private group ride with Chris. You can walk the horses side by side and he even let’s you run them if you want! What was also very special was that he took a ton of pictures and videos for us with his phone that he gave us for free. He trailers his horses to different trails, so you can choose your own trail. I would recommend Rockin Ranch to anyone for a unique and private trail riding experience!

We offer some of the best views from the back the horse through the Saguaro national Park east we offer rides from one hour to a half day ride hour and a half sunset and two hours sunsets.
We visited Saguaro Stables on March 2nd for the Saguaro National Park ride. It was super windy (25mph) when we got there and Roberta was concerned about our safety. We both looked at the weather report and decided it looked like it should die down after a little bit. And what do you know the wind died down just for the hour and a half that we were on the trail. My husband and I had the sweetest horses and we rode with another gal and her daughter (4 riders plus Roberta in the lead). Roberta was very kind, funny and knowledgeable. It was my first time riding and I was surprised at how easy it was. Saguaro National Park East is so beautiful and it was neat to be able to say we went horseback riding on the Arizona Trail. Would highly recommend!

Features NHRA drag racing, indoor and outdoor equestrian facilites, RV parking, Pima County Fair.
Stayed here while RV'ing to see the boneyard and Titan Missile. Rate was cheap and had no issues with electricity or water hookups. Also nice that they had a dog park with grass, as there were a lot of thorny "burrs" in the parking lot. Overall glad we stayed.
Hoof Haven Ranch teaches children and adults starting as young as 3 years old in Western Leisure, English, and Bareback. Student learn proper horsemanship care, balance and control while on the horse all while having fun in a safe riding environment. Lessons are great for family time, gaining safe experience before going on the trail and a rewarding way to decompress from the daily grind.
