We were so lucky to have Nvard and her husband Tigan (?) as our guide and driver for our short private tour of Armenia. They were lovely, helpful, funny, good company and, as is important for this review, informative, well spoken (good English) and in a short time knew what we liked. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Their vehicle was modern, comfortable and roomy. Although we were only in Armenia for 3.5 days we saw and learnt so much about this cradle of Christianity. Nvard's knowledge of the country's history and culture was excellent. I highly recommend Nvard as a guide. I should add that we felt the cost of the tour was very fair. I look forward to showing Nvard and Tigan around Sydney should they ever venture to Australia.

"Land of Noah" organizes a tour to the famous mountain-ski resort - Tsaghkadzor. Translated from Armenian the word “Tsakhkadzor” means the Gorge of Flowers. Indeed, the gorge, the mountains, snow tops, rapid rivers, picturesque valleys are covered with a flower carpet. In the north-western part of Tsakhkadzor one can find the 11th century monastic complex of Kecharis. It was built by Princes Pahlavuni. In the 12th - 13th centuries, Kecharis was a major religious center of Armenia. The monastery includes 4 churches, courtyard, 2 chapels and many khachkars (cross-stones). During the tour you will be given a free time to take a ride on the cable car. It’s a good possibility to see the beauty of the Armenian nature and Teghenis Mountain. In the winter you can go skiing or snowboarding after reaching the top. No matter which season you take a ride, you can enjoy a fantastic view and have unforgettable emotions.

Note: the private tour also included a trip to Echmiadzin and the Arch of Charents. This was a wonderful tour that I would recommend to anyone visiting Armenia interested in learning about its rich culture and history. My driver, Alen, and my guide, Eduard, were great to spend the day with, and I enjoyed every moment of the tour. Each site truly is magnificent, and most are unlike anything you will see elsewhere in the world. This really is a unique opportunity to view history. Additionally, I must note that the Armenian people are incredibly hospitable. At one point, we pulled over on the side of the road to watch some ladies make traditional Armenian bread (which was delicious). Upon stopping, I was invited to join a group of Armenian men that were enjoying the bread with some delicious Armenian cheese. They even gave me a shot of vodka, really highlighting just how kind everyone here is and how much they appreciate meeting other people and learning about other cultures. Do not miss out on this tour if you are in Armenia!

Begin your tour to Tsaghkadzor, which is a spa town and a popular health resort in Armenia. But do you know that Kecharis monastic complex is situated in Tsaghkadzor? It was founded in the 11th century and was one of the most important attractions in Medieval Armenia. Besides exploring this monastic complex you will also visit the ropeway of Tsaghkadzor, which is located on the slope of Teghenis Mount. In clear weather, it offers a breathtaking view of Mount Ararat. To enjoy the nature of Armenia spend the morning on a tour to Lake Sevan, where the 4th century monastery of Sevanavank is waiting for you. Sevanavank was built by the Armenian Princess Mariam to honor her deceased husband in the 9th century. It is home to the most wonderful Amenaprkich cross stones (khachkar), which is one of the rarest cross tones depicting Jesus.

The tour guide, Ms. Hasmik Evoyan is very knowledgeable, helpful and communicates very well. Armenia is beautiful country. Armenians are friendly and wonderful people with great culture heritage . I will definitely return to Armenia for longer stay.
