Star hunting Trysil is a unique adventure under the stars with many unique celestial features and other worldly landscapes Tim does his best to give you a magical experience stargazing in Trysil. You will be offered the use of a pair of 10x50 binoculars and 15x70 skymaster binoculars plus Tim will take some amazing night photographs that you can download via a simple link. Tim has basic knowledge of astronomy and is not an expert but has a passion to point out the best things that you can see using a pair of binoculars when its minus 10 and with limited time. He decided not to offer a telescope because he wants everyone to enjoy the nightsky at the same time. Depending on the time of your visit you will see: Orion Nebula, otherwise known as M42, a stellar nursery where new stars are being born. Sirius, also known as the Dog Star or Sirius A, is the brightest star in Earth's night sky. The name means "glowing" in Greek. The Hyades, a cluster of stars 152 light years away that makes the head of Taurus, the Bull, appears to surround the bright star Aldebaran Pleiades. Meteor showers occur when dust or particles from asteroids or comets enter Earth's atmosphere at very high speed. When they hit the atmosphere, meteors rub against air particles and create friction, heating the meteors. This tour is absolutely fantastic! Magical experiance to ride in a historical horse sledge with bell-ringing through the winter night. The moose stew that is served in a tent in the forrst (lovely decorated and enlighted with a campfire creating a traditional atmosphere) is so delicious! You really get a good portion of it, and we love that everything is produced locally! This was really a highlight of our stay in Trysil!

Trysil is Norway's largest ski resort with 66 slopes and 31 lifts. Trysil is family friendly, and in summer offers more than 30 activities.
We skied trysil at Easter as a family group. We had a complete mix of abilities from beginner to expert. We love trysil because there’s something for everyone. My teenage son is a very good skier and really enjoyed the black runs whilst my husband and I were able to ski the whole mountain with our 4 year old. It’s a fantastic resort that everyone can enjoy.

With 31 lifts and 68 slopes Trysil is Norway's largest ski destination Well thought-out, very family-friendly, modern and with an exceptional range of accommodation - all descriptive catchphrases for Trysil as a ski destination. Everything has been built around Trysilfjellet, where wide, long slopes snake down the sides of the mountain and continue below the tree line. Trysil comprises four interconnected ski areas, all with their own unique characteristics. From the black slopes in Hoegegga to the red, blue and green slopes at Skihytta, Trysil Turistsenter and Trysil Hoeyfjellssenter. Children areas on both sides of the mountain - where snowman Valle is the children's best friend - ensure a good skiing experience for the whole family. The Snow park is several times awarded as the best in Norway. It contains lines for all levels. Live the high life in one of Trysil's two fantastic resort hotels, hire a cabin in which several families can live together, or a modern holiday flat adapted for active people. Almost all accommodation in Trysil is located right on the slopes and has ski-in/ski-out facilities.
Wonderful place to visit fresh snow all week. Sunshine last two days so fantastic conditions all week. Slopes are great and some challenges off piste to do. All speak English so easy to get about. Hotel is wonderful and is board in board out.

Ski school, events and Rafting company that offer exiting and fun snow,river- and landbased experiences for people of all ages.
I booked 2 days of private lessons from 10:45-12:15 for the last week of February and got instructor Jønas from Denmark. As I am an adult learning skiing he knew my biggest issue was my fear of getting out of control. He gave me more confidence and even made me skiing red slopes for the first time and I got down perfectly fine. So well done Jønas from Denmark, thanks for the instructions and remaining so calm!! I would definitely choose this ski school again.
