Its a bit of a trek from the town centre so wear comfortable practical shoes. We went early (approx 11.30pm / midnight) before it got too busy and filled with smoke. Amazing place. Definitely worth checking out.

We spend two great evenings here. This is the perfect place to listen Cuban music and dance salsa. Mohito and Cuba Libre can make your evening complete.

Performances by individuals, small groups, large groups, and everything in between offering the entire range of Cuban musical talents and styles, with no, or very small, cover charge, very low-priced drinks, and many food options, at an outdoor venue in the heart of the historic center. One of our favorite things to do in Trinidad.

In bar Floridita, you will be delighted with traditional cuban music performed by the best groups of Trinidad. Also you will enjoy the variety of cocktail Daiquiri, this one was the favorite cocktail of the famous writwe Ernest Hemingway.
They say the best night are always unplanned - Bar Floridita is a good bar anyway but circumstances conspired to make it the scene of our most memorable moment from a month long trip round Cuba. We popped in during the afternoon to do the touristy thing of getting a photo standing with the Statue of Ernest Hemingway which is at the bar, and to try the Daquiris (which come in several different flavours and are excellent). There wasn't much going on but the friendly barman chatted and told us it was worth coming back for the band that evening who were very good and playing from seven until ten. After our evening meal we decided to head back (like I said, the Daquiris were excellent...) and got there for about nine - there were a couple of seats left but it was fairly busy. Typically, the band played one more song and then finished and started packing up, and most people left. The barman recognised us from earlier and having promised good music until ten obviously felt a bit obliged, so went to have a word with the band. We expected a song or two but instead the band came and sat at our table and basically gave us our own personal concert for almost an hour - needless to say they got bought drinks and tipped very well. All in all a fantastic night in a very friendly venue - we obviously got lucky but I would still recommend going along for the music as the band was the best we heard when in Cuba. And of course the Daquiris.......
A vintage bar in the mythical city of Trinidad, a perfect place to enjoy the best traditional cocktails with the best prices in the city, an atmosphere that goes back to the characteristic cultural collage of a city visited by people from all over the world.
