This church has a beautiful exterior, and it's Orthodox to the core. I'm devoid of religion, but the architecture of an orthodox church stands out. I like it.

One must make advance arrangements to attend a service. The building is spectacular. Second largest synagogue in Europe. Friendly congregation who were welcoming in spite of language barrier.

Each time I visit my friends in Trieste, I walk up to the top of the church to see the splendor of blue Adriatic Sea and the Trieste Bay sprawled beneath. The view is simply unbeatable and the walk from the sea side to the top will do a lot of good for your health. The church is highly unusual in its structure and there are toilets and water points. Surrounded by many forest hiking trails, it is a great place to spend a day or half a day.
