Had a great wine tasting experience at Auburn James Winery! We had met their wine club manager, Hollie, the night before and she invited us to come to the winery. Eric oversaw the tasting and also gave us a tour of the property. Hollie joined us as well. It was a great experience!

I truly loved it. Brand new winery, clean, really nice patio area, live soft music.. what else you need for a great relaxing evening?? Yes! Wine! Their wines are amazing.. Rhone blends are hard to come by in this part of Valley and the Melange was one of the most interesting wines I've ever had. Intricate bouquet, beautiful aroma and color.. cant wait till their Viogner comes out at Fall. Will be back again!

Since opening in August 1988, the Blackhawk Museum has displayed classic automobiles and myriad exhibitions exemplifying art, technology and history. Local students, residents and international visitors enjoy educational presentations, cultural programs and volunteer opportunities. Since the beginning it has been home to the Automotive Gallery with over 55 vintage, classic, rare and sports automobiles on display. These automobiles are regarded as works of art and range from the dawn of the motoring age through the 1960's. In 2015, a new exhibition, The Spirit of the Old West opened, telling the story of the western frontier from the perspective of both the Native Americans and the settlers before, during and after the expansion west. The exhibition features authentic artifacts from the period, a large diorama depicting key historic moments, scenes of wildlife from the frontier and other elements that bring the past to life.
The Blackhawk Museum is truly a wondrous place if you’re a classic automobile enthusiast, restorer or someone who just plain likes cars. The collection ranges from the early 20th century all the way to today with a little something for just about every era of automotive history. My favorites have always been the Auburn’s, Cord’s and Duesenberg’s of which there are always one or two world class specimens on display. Sadly, I’ve heard rumors that with the passing of its founder Ken Behring a short while ago, that the facility could be repurposed in the next few years to come. That would truly be a loss for the area and classic car community in Northern California. Go, enjoy it before it’s too late. It’s worth the drive from Danville Or even Istanbul. Cheers.

The wines are excellent. Highly drinkable now and great for the cellar. The top end selections like the Premier Cab and the Lineage Bordeaux blend have gotten 100 point scores and are among the best in the world. There are many good and great wineries in Livermore and Steven Kent Winery and The Lineage Group are at the pinnacle of the latter. My favorite wines (after the two mentioned above) are the Single Vineyard Series cabs. Each one is unique and vary from year to year but the nuanced style of Steven Mirassou provides a point of view for each. The winery has had a bit of a hospitality makeover that was interrupted by COVID but I did get a visit to the new Lineage Salon beforehand and it offers a beautiful high-end tasting experience rivaling a great premium Napa tasting. Our visit on the patio (due to COVID) was hospitable and relaxed with four nice wines and a couple of bonus pours as well. I'd recommend a reservation by calling in advance especially in these times when openings and closings are happening frequently.

Bent Creek Winery produces award winning wines from Livermore Valley grapes. Come and taste our current selection. Or bring a picnic and enjoy a bottle seated in our vineyards.
We went with no expectations and we were thrilled. My husband was impressed by the fact that every time we sampled a wine the lady would point to the outside and where they were grown! We bought a bottle of port at the end of the tasting and brought it home to Maryland. We hope to go back someday.

Ruby Hill Winery is a wonderful place to taste wine. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and down to earth. They have a very good selection of very good wine. They have just finished their second outdoor seating area which is very nice, with fans and heaters. It is beautiful. There you can have a glass of wine, wine by the bottle, or just sit in beautiful surroundings and enjoy your tasting. They have a small selection of deli items to make your visit complete. Highly recommend for couples, girlfriends, or we like to go with our neighbors. Casual, delicious, reasonable pricing, beautiful and fun!

McGrail Vineyards and Winery is a boutique winery located in the rolling hills of the Livermore Valley. The winery is centered on family, friends, and fellow wine lovers. With Cabernet Sauvignon as our primary wine, we invite you to come for a tasting, bocce, picnic, or vineyard tour. The views from the tasting room are breathtaking and the wines are astounding.
My husband and I visited McGrail for the first time and loved their wines so much we joined their wine club. It is a warm and welcoming winery and highly recommend a visit!

Tesla Vintners is open for tasting Friday through Sunday from 12 p.M. - 5 P.M. We have three wineries pouring on property. On any given day you may hear live music by our own Singing Winemaker, Steve Powell. Relax in one of our three cozy tasting rooms, or enjoy outdoor seating for those beautiful sunny days to relax while enjoying a bottle of our wines on the patio. There is plenty of seating and a lawn area for the kids to have some fun too.
