The Green Store is a sustainable lifestyle & homewares general store for the home, garden, body & baby. Specialising in natural, organic and ethically sourced products with a focus on thoughtful design and functionality. The Green Store stocks a diverse range of quality body care and cleaning solutions for those with sensitivities, allergies or families simply seeking a chemical free home. Along with luxurious bath & body products, beautiful scarves & socks, bags, garden accoutrements, up-cycled bespoke furniture and lighting, candles and aromatherapy, toys, gifts, games, cards & much more! Combining myotherapy, massage body treatments to the existing Green Store seemed like the perfect progression to combine wellness to the ethos of our family business. We have taken care to select products for your skin that work; are complimentary to the Australian lifestyle while remaining kind to the planet. Our beautiful village is nestled on the edge of the Wombat State Forest, come say hi!
We discovered The Green Store almost by accident, as it is on a side street to Trentham's main retail area and the shopfront is modest and unobtrusive. While the shop is quite small, it is amazing the wide variety of interesting goodies that are on display. (That said, the space is far from cramped.) As you'd expect with a name like that, there are lots of ecologically friendly products available, though not so many of the 'locally-made jams and condiments' variety, which you often see in such places. So that was a nice change. Too many good things to list but we bought some greeting cards and a very stylish keep-cup.

We played this course recently on an excelletly run charity day. The course was in terrific condition, everything semms well maintained and the members have pride in their course. Fairways and greens are first class, the locals have done an excellent job It's a fairly tight course but even low handicappers would enjoy the challenge on some holes. There's a nice bar and catering is provide by a couple of locals, the finger food that we had was great.

A pleasant, gentle walk, 6km each way, along a corridor of introduced European forest and native eucalyptus, and wildflowers. A hint of heritage could be felt as we made the easy stroll in the once-upon-a-time rail track, as remains of a few rails and bridges suggest. Little echidna greeted us on our way, and we stopped quietly to allow it's passage by us. Fortunate were we. It's a leafy, foresty, charming trail. We were delighted.

Lovely tranquil park complete with pond and birdlife. Easy to walk along the paths and enjoy the birds and trees. The park also has great picnic facilities and toilets so that you can have a barbecue or picnic lunch with gourmet foods available from nearby shops.

This is a great little gallery - well laid out with amazing art from several artist. The art is high quality. Some are very large - you'd need the right space to hang them, but wonderful. The gallery is staffed by the artists, and they are pleasant and very knowledgeable

Our family from the UK absolutely loved this tour, Scott is is a great tour guide who knows his subject really well, entertaining and informative. We saw Wombats, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Possums etc. A drive through the beautiful forest with a short walk to spot some possums (suitable for all ages). If you are ever in Trentham area, we would highly recommend this tour to see the wildlife in its natural habitat and to see the stars without light pollution. Not to be missed.

Trentham Falls are located a few kilometres from Trentham just off the Daylesford - Kyneton Road. The falls are located about 100 metres from the car park and require walking down steps to reach the viewing areas. It is worth the short walk, especially if viewing days after good local rainfall with lots of water flowing over the falls.

Trentham rail trail is a scenic and awesome trail to ride on mountain bikes or walk. Easy riding but is a little rough for first 500 mtrs near station due to exposed sleepers after crossing first road. Trail is mostly through forest so great shade available and a few seats along trail if required. Park under trees at Trentham Station (now disused by trains) and enter via left side of station and go left until on track (signs will appear). Highly recommend attending nearby Trentham falls and walking the 70 mtrs from car park. Plus maybe the next 100 mtrs from lookout to bath under falls. Well used track from lookout but a little dangerous so they have gated it.

I visited the Historic Trentham Police Complex whilst in Trentham. It only costs a gold coin donation to visit. This complex includes a restored police station and portable slab lock-up. This very rare portable lockup was used on the Victorian Goldfields during the gold rushes in the 1850s. Well worth visiting in this historical former gold rush town.
