Transylvania is a historical region in today's central Romania. Bound on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended westward to the Apuseni Mountains. The term sometimes encompasses not only Transylvania proper, but also the historical regions of Crișana and Maramureș, and occasionally the Romanian part of Banat.

Bison farm in the heart of Transylvania, 40km from Brasov - in Aita Mare. A family run farm with 45+ animals, which are waiting for you to admire them. Our American bisons roam freely on our pasture along with some well trained horses. Bring your friends, family and spend a whole day in nature! BBQ facility and horse riding available on request. For organised groups we can provide, at request, steak or gulyas (gulas).
This unexpected buffalo farm located in Transylvania in the heart of Romania offered us a few hours of relaxation and joy. Watching these majestic animals roam was exciting, and it was followed by a horseriding session. Would gladly recommend this as a 1-2 hour experience. Bring your own food and drinks if you need, cause the area is wild and there are obviously no shops around.
