As an employee of Hobart Village for many years, I couldn't begin to explain the uniqueness and endless possibilities that exist at Hobart Village. The group antique shop upstairs is ever changing due to having numerous dealers that all specialize in something different. Books, silver, war memorabilia, toys, we have it all! Antiques are not the end of it, as our downstairs is packed with reproduction furniture and decorations made right here in America. Not seeing exactly what you need? That's okay, we can order custom furniture and can even bring it right to your doorstep. Although Hobart Village is located in a small town, it is a stop that surely should not be missed. The most common comments we receive are, "Wow, I didn't know this place was so HUGE," and "I could spend all day here!" Stop on by, you don't know what your missing.

Our hiking group hiked through & around the trails of Andres Institute of Art last week. The trails and some of the art sculptures were covered in a foot of snow. Snowshoes were necessary in order for us to navigate around the Institute and enjoy the artist's sculptures. Artists from all over the world create their jewels of art on the property at location of their choosing.
The sculptures are incredible. Beautifully handcrafted stone, metal, granite. Each with a personal subject/purpose on display. It was amazing to see the many different countries represented by the artists.
This is a work in progress that grows each year as the institute attracts more artists every year.
After two hours of snowshoeing we had explored dozens of pieces of art. I'm sure we'll be back again to enjoy a much different hiking experience than our usual climb up a mountain trail.

Unfortunately the day we go there wasn't much of any water fall. We went cause of seeing pictures on line and it looked like a nice picture spot. We got there and it was a nice area though our GPS took us everywhere before actually finding it. It was pretty but no real falls to see. Perhaps August is not the time to see this place. Across the street you could just mp into the water if you wanted as there was some teens there. We drove a ways to get there so don't think it's somewhere we would go again unless it was to have a cookout as they had tables and grills available and if you just wanted a peaceful spot then this is nice.

This is a great trail that is paved and wide enough for traffic in both directions. There is plenty of parking at the end in Ayer and at several locations along the way. the trail stretches from Ayer through Groton, Pepperell and up in to Nashua. The total trail length is just over 12 miles.

We accessed the trail in Nashua. The trail itself is relatively flat and goes by very quickly. It is suitable for all ages. There are no motorized vehicles allowed, which makes this a good place to ride. There are various places to park along the route which makes this good for doing partial sections of the trail.

This is our fav farm! My son loves the cows, rabbits, chickens and goats. He enjoys feeding them. We love the beautiful flowers and the produce. It's such a great effort to support the local farms even though they may be a bit more pricey. We love the huge weeping willows and apple trees. It's a great place to visit.

Pickety Place is the most quaint and charming restaurant and gift shop that I have had the pleasure to dine and shop in for quite awhile. The restaurant menu is the same with two entree'choices for each month accompanied by a lovely dip, homemade Bavarian pretzels and cheese dip and salad. In January I had the pleasure of eating the most delicious red stuffed pepper with a lovely sauce on the side.
After eating we went to the gift shop and purchased a lot of herbs and dip mixes to take home. On the way out the door we bought some hot apple spiced cider for the trip home, also delicious. I can hardly wait to go there again and sample the fare for February. Our waitress was friendly and had worked there for 26 years which is a long time, so the ownership must be amazing to keep staff that long! We went there twice in January, it was so delicious. As we left, snowflakes were beginning to fall and we enjoyed the ambiance of the winter storm that was coming soon. Remember to make reservations because they have seatings every few hours and are not open in the evenings. We went at 12:45.I recommend not going without a reservation unless you want to risk that the seatings will be booked and you will have travelled quite a distance for nothing. It is far off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. You will pass amazing views and stop to look at Mount Monadnock in the distance.

We do an annual visit here, to play mini-golf, very clean up-kept grounds. Mark the owner, is always willing to help/please his patrons, very nice. Its cheap enough for the kids to also do the batting cages and the driving range. Well worth a visit!

This great restaurant has amazing steaks, a beautiful view of Gibbett Hill and friendly staff. Enjoy your meal while watching the cattle graze peacefully on the hill. My favorite is the Steak Frites with delicious hanger steak, salad and their amazing french fries. Make weekend reservations weeks in advance if you have a special occasion coming up.

Very fun evening - Great intro about technique to start and then Wendy is around to help and provide guidance. Over a couple of hours, I had a chance to make multiple bowls. Plenty of food and snacks - a very fun way to spend a Saturday night.
