We had an absolutely amazing time llama trekking at Catanger Llamas. Before we went Sarah answered all my questions over email and was a great and friendly host on the day too. We got to learn all about llamas before taking ours out on our walk, which I found really interesting. The walk was through beautiful countryside and was great to spend time with our llama who was really gentle and had a fantastic personality! Then we headed back to the farm to see all the other llamas and the babies too which was lovely. Also, Catanger Llamas has loads of precautions in place for Covid, e.g. loads of hand sanitizer, rotating llamas and guide ropes used etc so it felt really safe. Would definitely recommend a visit here, it was a fantastic experience!

The Porsche Experience Centre is situated at Silverstone Circuit, the home of British motorsport, in the heart of England. Located next to Hangar Straight, we are on the site of the WRC Rally of Great Britain Special Stage used in the late 1990s. The specially designed track incorporates six elements; Handling Circuit, The Straights, Kick Plate, Ice Hill, Low Friction and Off-Road circuits. This environment enables visitors to be guided through a variety of different situations in wet and dry conditions, as well as simulating ice and snow driving with the use of specially constructed surfaces. The driving experiences are designed to focus on a particular type of driving, model of Porsche or driving environment. Whether you are hoping to attain new skills, polish up some old ones or just have a great time driving, we can help find the right experience for you.
Had an excellent day at the Porsche Driving Experience. Hosted by Kay and Keith who were great fun and out us both at ease in the cars. Food was nice and the driving experience was brilliant; Kat was a great instructor and made me feel like I wasn’t a complete duffer. At the end of the day Kat drove me around the track and she is an amazing driver and I realized that I had been pootling around the track in reality. Can’t recommend the day enough and will be back again.

The whole experience was run extremely well from the moment we arrived. The facility is well organised for COVID. I like a bit of adrenaline and driving fast and I was worried that we might be limited with the speeds you can go, told to drive carefully or held up behind slow drivers the whole time. Fortunately it was nothing like that. The instructors are there to teach you how to drive fast and take the best line, all the drivers in my group were very competent and there was a blue flag system for overtaking. You get to go full on race mode around the track in what is actually a very fast little race car which makes for a great experience. With a 0-60 of around 4 seconds you quickly pick up a lot of speed on the track. The cars are quite basic with no electronic assistants like you get in a modern road car and do take a bit to get used to the very low driving position. It is brilliant to feel completely in control of the car as it responds so directly to your actions. The track itself is the smaller Stowe track within the main circuit. It is the perfect size for the cars, taking just over a minute per lap. The briefing was around 25 min, they teach you a lot about how to drive the correct racing line as well as all the safety points. Then it is off to the track to get kitted up and into the cars. We had 3/4 laps behind the pace car to get you familiarised with the circuit and then the pace car pits and it is flat out from there. We managed about 16 laps after the pace car went in which is definitely long enough. At the end they tell you that your lap times have been logged and everyone gets the print out of the times which is nice to see how you did, especially as I’m quite competitive. For anyone who likes go-karting or fancies a bit of racing this is the perfect experience. The best way to describe it was like go-karting on steroids.

I would recommend this experience to anyone that has the opportunity to visit. I phoned prior to booking due to a couple of issues and all the staff I spoke to before and during my trip made me feel welcome throughout, they were all extremely friendly and helpful. As for the actual experience it's really well laid out with loads to see and do for all ages, you get to learn about the history of Silverstone and see so many different aspects of racing, the displays and information are clear and informative and there's almost too much to see in one go. There's also the added bonus of the heritage trail to walk on an old part of the circuit and if you're really lucky you might get to see some on track racing. Highly recommended ????
