The southern France city of Toulouse is a study in contrasts. Visit the Academie des Jeux Floraux, the oldest literary society in the western world, as well as the Galerie du Chateau d'eau, the world's first photography museum. Stroll the Garonne, before visiting France's most beautiful pipe organ at the Saint-Sernin Basilica. Yet for all its medieval architecture, Toulouse is a modern city, home to the European aerospace industry, as well as bars and restaurants in bustling Place du Capitole.

My friend and I had a wonderful walk in this splendid spot, a Japanese garden within a public park. It was a delightful experience, a lovely walk on this Sunday afternoon. Worth the search... you will enjoy it! xxx

We enjoy this park regularly, it's a welcome oasis in the midst of the bustle of the city. And during the warmer months there are a series of concerts in the park, some free and others for a very nominal 10€. Dogs are welcome too! The only downside is lack of toilet facilities.

Visited this garden today part of big garden with separate enclosure. Very well looked after. Went to the other Jardin des plantes but this one is much better. The other has a wonderful museum of natural history

Such a relaxing place along the river. In 1889 it commemorated the centenary of the Revolution and this was originally a meadow where flocks of sheep feed then later it became a sports field and today it more of a lucious grassy parkland to enjoy.
