All Saints’ Tudeley is the only church in the world* to have all its twelve windows decorated by the great Russian artist Marc Chagall. The east window at Tudeley is a memorial tribute to Sarah d'Avigdor-Goldsmid who died aged just 21 in a sailing accident off Rye. Sarah was the daughter of Sir Henry and Lady d'Avigdor-Goldsmid; the family then lived at the fine Jacobean house Somerhill which is situated nearby.
Very nice excuse to leave London for a day. Beautiful windows, great scenery around. We enjoyed walking along surrounding footpaths all the way back to Tonbridge. We enjoyed it greatly!

This friendly Gallery just a 5 minute walk from Tonbridge Castle and the River Medway is a showcase for local professional and emerging artists who are part of the Tonbridge Art Collective. They cover painting, prints, photography, ceramics, glass and jewellery. Some of the artists are well known nationally and internationally and their work sells in UK, Europe and USA. Many of the artists exhibit at the top London art and design shows, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Mall Galleries Society London shows and the British Trade Craft Fair to name but a few. The gallery is focused towards lifestyle as well as being a fine art gallery and you'll always be sure of a friendly welcome as one of the artists will be in the gallery during opening hours. Pop in - we'd love to see you!

We stopped by as we were in the area for a walk and we LOVED it! Very impressed with such a space and it was so relaxing to be by the lake too! A long walk for some fresh air! Large carpark too. I reckon it's often busy. Cute paths and a lovely play area too by the entrance. Plus a nice cafe too. We will definitely come back with our little one next time we are in the area! It was so refreshing and peaceful. Good for the mind! Dog-friendly too of course! More details and free family days out in Kent on my blog The Frenchie Mummy. So Google it and have a look there too! Merci!

A very interesting church, with lots of history - try to get there when Peter is giving a tour - this church dates back to the Saxon and the Normans....but this church is current and active and alive - great ambiance and spiritual presence in this beautiful building!

Tyson and the team go beyond just being hosts. Great pub and tasty food. Worth calling it a favourite even living miles away.

Great old school pub with craft beer on tap and cans, duke box, board games and darts. Excellent selection plus a gin list. Lots of bar snacks including warm pork scratchings. a curry night, roasts on a Sunday. We didn't try the food this time but friends that recommended it to us have so will do next time. Landlord really welcoming and friendly. Contrary to previous reviews we had no problem at all bringing our children, it was very clear children are very welcome as long as they are with the parents and well behaved. Will most certainly return!

Ventured out to the pub for the first time since lockdown and back to my favourite pub. The pub has a great relaxed atmosphere and the safety measures in place are easy to follow and are very secure. The staff are great and the pub attracts a good mix of customers. Will be back soon.

The 8 acres of garden are formed around a 100 metre long double mixed border backed with clipped Yew hedges and columnar Oak trees. From the border run two grass avenues lined with clipped hedges. Hanging from this structure are a variety of large and small contemporary and traditional gardens designed and built by students of Hadlow College. Throughout the gardens there is an extensive range of unusual plants and collections, in addition to more familiar plants used in unconventional ways.
Love it here, gardens stunning, tearoom homemade food. Staff friendly and there plenty to see and buy in shop, gifts, cards, prezzies. Great nursery and gardens. Great day out with family and friends or on your own for peace and respite.

Lunchtime was spent mid walk and it was glorious. The landlord is aware of social distancing and hygiene which is totally justified. The food was great as usual and the beer fab. One of the best pubs in Kent. Don't miss it. Currently you need to be tolerant of attitude of staff as working in this environment is difficult for them. Place yourself in their place. I speak from working in the hospitality industry. Otherwise the alternative is no great pub!!
