Because tokoname is too near the airport, it does not receive as many visitors as it should. If you arrive by train, go to the visitors bureau in the corridor straight in front of the Meitetsu exit for the train. It is a few shops down on the left side. They are helpful and have maps

Well done! Seating, telescopes, wife walking and viewing areas. If you’re into planes or just have time to kill while waiting for someone, it’s worthwhile for sure. It’s very accessible by foot or elevator. There are plaques (in Japanese) pointing out the geographic and airport features.

If you are hunting for some nice pottery this is a place for you. Nice walk to enjoy the scenery and hopping in and out of pottery workshop. If you are a cat lover. Before you even enter the footpath you are greeted by this gianatic maneki-neko and follow by a lot of different cat symbols charms... Do have your meals before starting as there are only some little cafes along the way. Do note that there is a shopping street on the map. Which only opens in the morning.

Indeed, there were two of a kind Manekineko Street in Tokoname city. One is easily identified as it is located at the Tokoname Aeon Shopping Mall complex. The other one is just the footpath under the Giant lucky cat, Tokonyan and next to the Pottery Store. There were plenty displayed of lucky cat statues in different forms and characters designed by different artists with various underlying meaning. They were free and beautiful crafts. Do spend some time to take a look especially if you are a fan of lucky cat or pottery lover. Enjoy!
