Well kept but you need to climb down and up several stairs. If your physical condition allows visit this cave. It is a guided tour where they give explanations about the formations and they have a surprise for you at the end to prove why this is a special place.

From the outside I would not have thought that Taş Han is so picturesque! I even prefer it to Cinci Han in Safranbolu. In front of the Han there are many shops that sell homemade food. Very interesting to look at! Taş Han is a kervansaray that was built in the 17th century. It has got two storeys. It is a bit difficult to climb up the stairs because they are different in height, so do not stumble, do not fall. In the shops I could closely look at all the things I was interested in. The shop owners/assistants were not pushy at all. They offered souvenirs, books, lamps, fashion, etc. In the courtyard there are a few restaurants and a little fountain. The waiters were friendly, but the service was too slow. It took nearly half an hour till my meal was served. I was dying from hunger! It tasted good, and the lemonade, too. What I liked most while I was waiting were the other people sitting around or moving about. A really international clientele!
