Welcome to the Greatest Space Adventure on Earth! Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the only place in the world where you can see the real space shuttle Atlantis, touch a moon rock, meet a veteran NASA astronaut, tour a NASA spaceflight facility and get an up-close view of a real Saturn V moon rocket all in the same day! Arrive early for this full-day experience to make the most of your visit. The visitor complex opens at 9 am every day.
My family of four (including 2 teens) visited on a busy day. Once inside, we did the bus tour first, which is highly recommended as it was a guided tour that took us past some of the launch pads, vehicle assembly building and as a bonus, we saw an alligator & a Bald Eagle. We did the shuttle simulator which was a little disappointing. There is so much to see and read, it is difficult to cover it all. As the Imax shows are over so early in the day, we missed viewing them which was very unfortunate and disappointing. We were there for 7 hours and didn't see everything. Having to stand in line for over an hour for the bus tour didn't help. I felt the bus tour lineups could have been designed a little better to accomodate the Easter Break crowds.
All in all a good day and great experience, however was a little disappointed missing out on the Imax films due to the early closure.

The visitor center is a few miles out from the north side entrance, access sites for the sounds and beach side are spread out, limited parking. Further south you will find a trail and old house exhibit the Eldora Statehouse. The historic house closes an hour ealier than the visitor center. Also to visit, the Turtle Mound National Historic Site was a hightlight and is on the north side before the visitor center. Great views of ocean and sound.
If you go to the south side entrance, you can drive to the manatee and drawbridge viewing area. If the temperature is higher than 70 degrees, it is more likely you could see the manatees.

Founded in the 1977, The Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum has a continually growing collection of over 45 historic warbirds from the beginnings of aviation to the present day. The VAC is a 501(3)c educational organization dedicated to the preservation of, education about and commemoration of Warbirds from all eras and the men and women who flew, maintained and fought in them.
I took my father and grandfather, both connected to aviation, to this museum (Senior citizens and military receive admission discounts). They had a really enjoyable time.
I highly recommend utilizing the free tour guide service to show you around. They provide so much more detail, stories, and insight than just the display plaques. And they can answer questions, too. They all have aviation experience. Our tour guide was great. He even asked for my father's insight and experience.
We were at this museum on one of the days the Ford Tri-motor was visiting so we got to watch it take off and land several times, along with several other small planes. The museum is located on an active runway.
The planes were from various years and there were some pretty remarkable ones too. My favorite? One of the planes used in the movie The Great Escape!
All of the planes have been restored and we got to walk through the hanger where they were actively restoring planes.
Even the gift shop was great. The ladies working there were very helpful and friendly.
Aside from the planes, there is a neat museum dedicated to aviation history and has lots of WWII memorabilia.
I highly recommend visiting this museum.

Very clean, very well-maintained, excellent playhouse. The seats are comfortable and the house is small enough that every seat is a good seat. It would be nice if they offered snacks at intermission, but drinks are available. And, the performance (Shrek) was very well done.

Space View Park is located less than 15 miles directly across the Indian River from the launch pads of the Canaveral Spaceport. The Park is the first and only walk in the nation that honors America's astronauts as well as the men and women behind the scenes who helped America lead the world in space exploration. Located 5 miles North from Hwy 50 off of US1 on Broad Street on HWY 406 (Garden Street) off of Indian River Avenue.
What a great place to watch a rocket launch. Free car parking. We were even lucky enough to watch dolphins and manatees in the river too.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Titusville, Playalinda Brewing Company has over 15 house-brewed beers on tap - including two flagship beers -- Bottomless Blonde Ale and Robonaut Red Ale. With three decade's worth of experience, Playalinda's Brewmaster/Certified CiceroneTM Ron Raike, crafts the house-beer using seasonally inspired ingredients that lend to the quality and freshness of the finished product. Bottoms up!
We went there to celebrate a birthday. They actually had a special beer "birthday cake" which had icing and sprinkles around the rim of the glass. Had a great time. It is a little pricey, but if you enjoy trying out new craft beers you...MoreThank you so much for celebrating with us! We're glad you had a great time and got to try Birthday Cake!

A museum dedicated to the Space Workers of the Canaveral Spaceport who built the rockets and launch pads that allowed the US to reach the Moon, and send probes to the outer planets. Many of the artifacts in the museum are simply on "long term loan" by those now retired space workers.
First of all Mike is fantastic!! What an excellent happen chance meet up with him. He wasn't scheduled to give any tours, had only shown up for a meeting. He gave us a great tour even though he had a prior engagement. Just an absolutely wonderful man with great first hand knowledge of the shuttle program. Excellent museum!
