January 1, 2022 Tonie Szymanski

Tirana, the Republic of Albania's largest city, is blessed with a mild Mediterranean climate, a plethora of beautiful churches and lush parks. Founded in 1614, some striking Mussolini-era architecture dots the city center. Walk between sights such as Skanderbeg Square's 1789 Et'hem Bey Mosque, the 1830 Sahat-Kulla (Clock Tower) and the Puppet Theater, once home to King Zog's puppet parliament. Visit the Peace Bell, built with old cartridge shells, a reminder of Tirana's stormy past.

The tour company was very organized, contacting me in advance to make sure I was all set. Our guide, Arlind, spoke excellent English and drove us to places quickly and safely. Because of Covid, some of the stops on the itinerary were closed. However, Inspire Me quickly offered us other options to make up for the slight inconvenience. Very accommodationg and honest company. Arlind is really polite and really helpful. You'll be in good hands booking this tour.

We will meet in the morning at 09:00 AM at hotel/meeting point and starting our trip to the lake of Bovilla . The road is about 21 km distance where half of it is off road. We will look at the suburban neighborhoods of Tirana where you will see a very different lifestyle from the city . We drive up the lake dam and after we reach Bovilla Lake we prepare to hike in Mount Gamti. The track to hike is a simple level where every step gives us a more beautiful view as we reach the top. Hiking lasts about 40 minutes. On the top of the hill there is an impressive view of the lake and the green hills surrounding it. Time to rest, to enjoy the gorgeous view, to play with each other, to talk and to eat food under the shadows of the cave. Returns to the same track takes about 30 minutes. We have a short stop at the river below the dam where the formed canyons are unique and, if you want, you can swim in the fresh water of the river. After all this adventure, we are ready to return in Tirana.

A tour that will take you to one of the most interesting destinations of Balkans Ohrid town, This town is North Macedonia's most seductive destination. Famous for its lake and architecture. At the same time you will visit Lin, a small peninsula softly joins the shores of Lake Ohrid. I didn't have any expectations regarding Krujë, but the national museum Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu inside the castle felt very epic and turned out to be one my favorite ones so far in Albania. It amazes me how knowledgeable Andi is about everything you ask him, even specific details! We adjusted the itinerary a little bit on my request, which is always convenient if you're running out of time.

His knowledge is beyond, both in the rich history of the region but in matters of life as well. He is so special and I’m happy to call him a friend after this chance encounter. This is not just a 5 star rating, it’s a 10. Go and visit Tirana, but see all the other beautiful offerings of this beautiful country.
