Hiking, camping, fishing and boating are just a few of the outdoor activities available at this scenic park.
I wish this Park was closer! Staff very friendly during our entire stay. Camped in Whitesand site # 64. so much to do and see here! We rode our bikes all over the campgrounds and people driving were mindful of their speed. Park badges available! Spent over 2 hours kayaking Whitesand Lake....so beautiful and calm. We enjoyed several hikes... Back 40 up to the Lookout is a MUST. Some spots more difficult then others as it is an uphill trail. Rainbow Falls is very pretty for photo taking and the hike includes many steps! We took a right out of the gate onto 17 and found a side road that runs along Superior. Stopped at a beach and walked. Beautiful area.

The falls were amazing you could walk on either side and the boardwalk was nice and wide so it would be a great one for everyone and easy access. We went early so it was nice to have the views pretty much to ourselves to enjoy.

All I can say about Silver Falls is “wow”! My fiancé and I spent 4.5 hours on the trail and made it to the third set of falls before we decided to turn back. The trail is tough, with lots of ups and downs and many challenging obstacles (not for the inexperienced hiker), but it’s well worth it! It’s a bit difficult to find the trailhead, as it requires turning down a road leading to a hydro station. Due to the treacherous nature of the trail, I recommend stopping at Dog Falls (the first, and largest, set of falls you’ll find) if you’re not prepared for a challenge. The view is spectacular, and you can actually get close enough to the water to feel the spray on your face! It’s a truly incredible experience. You won’t regret checking out this hidden gem!

Quick stop off the highway, recommend this. Short walk of 5 minutes to SPECTACULAR view of falls, gorge and lake. You could picnic here too, but if time is short, you can see the great view in less than 30 minutes.

This was a particularly beautiful hike in early October, with a well-earned view from the Wingtip Lookout at the very top. The hike is very well-marked. The new hydro cut at the top is a bit ghastly, but necessary as they construct new hydro lines to ship the now surplus electricity from Northern to Southern Ontario. The scramble up the "stairway of the saints" requires good footwear, and when wet, lots of care going up and down. It is well worth the effort. There are lots of rocks and trees to hang onto while climbing and descending. This is one of many gorgeous hikes we enjoyed in this area. We'll be sure to be back for more.

We found our group (14 US-based Boy Scouts + Adults) needing a substitute activity after the awful experience at Eagle Canyon. We learned about this from a Zodiac boat guide and worked out way down some rugged roads to find the trail. Awesome payoff for a short hike with nice photo opportunities, including sneaking behind a water fall. Worth the effort for sure! And to boot, it is completely FREE! Rope and ladders guide you down some steep terrain, but totally manageable.
