Went to see Missy Raines. Great atmosphere, music and food. Once again a great trip and now that corridor H is open to Davis a much easier trek. Fiddler platter and chicken salad croissant were great. Sorry but downside was the staff. Not a smile to be found and at the end of the night while outside the guy with the dreads singing "take this job and shove it ". If you hate it that much just quit. It's obvious in how treat guests that you don't like it. This is a great establishment and I hope it stays forever. No place like it.

The atmosphere is really nice, super casual. If you are at the bar, you'll sit on varnished saw horses. They often have live music. There is one part that is open air in good weather. There is food available and I'm sure it's good, but I have never tried it. I really enjoy the beer there. I try and bring some growlers so I can take some back to the motel, or wherever I'm staying, and even brought some home to Richmond. The beer prices are very reasonable and they offer a good selection, all brewed on site. It's a great addition to Tucker Co.

Offering yoga classes throughout the week as well as private classes for just you or your group (friends, family, business, retreats, conferences).
Mountain Yoga is a favorite of visitors and locals alike and is a welcoming experience to new practitioners of yoga and those with longstanding practices. Anne always starts on time, values and praises your commitment to your own yoga practice and instructs a great flow! There is always something for your brain to explore as well as your body. I have never had a boring class or one that I thought I could do as well at home with a DVD or online. The prices are super affordable and it is easy to sign up online. She also is very flexible in scheduling private classes for people who feel more comfortable in their own space. As someone who is sometimes intimidated about entering new practice spaces, Mountain Yoga is warm and friendly - lots of modifications and kind instruction.

The U.S. Department of Energy has determined that West Virginia has significant wind power development opportunities. As of 2016 there were 376 wind turbines in operation in West Virginia.
Drive 219 north of Thomas and see a visual of Mountaineer wind turbines.
In the 1980’s we were astounded with the San Gorgonio Pass Wind Farm, a wind farm located on the eastern slope of the San Gorgonio Pass in Riverside County, just east of White Water, California, United States.
So naturally we are delighted to explore the Mountaineer Wind Energy Center.
Mountaineer Wind Energy Center is a pleasant day trip.

This wildlife management area is part of the The Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Tucker County, West Virginia. There are no fees required/requested for visiting and for hiking. Much less dramatic than the Dolly Sods area, but highly accessible. We recommend.
