Canada's capital is a compact, clean, cleverly planned center of culture and politics and a destination for every season. Start downtown at the architecturally stunning National Gallery of Canada, and don't miss the Canadian Museum of Nature and the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. Rideau Canal offers boating in the summer and turns into the world’s largest skating rink when frozen in the winter. Gatineau Park attracts cyclists and walkers, while Byward Market blends old and new Ottawa.

This is located at 1000 Exhibition way and happens on Sundays from 10am-3pm. Many people are posting pictures of the Byward Market on this listing. I am posting correct pictures below. The market is great and you can walk on Bank street from downtown. It takes about half an hour to walk. There are lots of vendors selling fruits, vegetables, baked goods, honey, soaps, and a few art/jewelry sellers. There are also lots of vendors selling unique lunch meals.

Large pavilion on Dows Lake with restaurants and a marina that serves as a year-round recreational center.
We spent about two hours walking around the arboretum and beautiful paths. Great place to picnic or visit one of the 3 restaurants (currently only the patios of 2 of them are open... June 2020). Pedal boat and kayak rentals are available depending on the weather. "The man with two hats" is just across the street.

A revamped historical site, Lansdowne is Ottawa's new and improved entertainment site. Host of pro sports, concerts, a busy nightlife, greenery, businesses, as well as unique events and festivals, Lansdowne is a vibrant spot for visitors and locals alike.
Don't be fooled when driving by on Bank Street - behind the corporate storefronts you will find a huge park with basketball courts (ice skating depending on the season) plus a skateboard park, children's play area, water features, and more - including professional sports Ottawa Fury (soccer) Ottawa RedBlacks (football) and Ottawsa 67s (Junior Hockey). There is also a movie theatre, many shops and restaurants, and ongoing special events like a farmer's market.

Globe is a fashionable district of Ottawa bounded by Queensway in the north and the Rideau Cabal to the south and east with Bank Street as its main shopping artery running straight down the middle. It is home to some elegant real estate particularly around the park near Clemow Drive which is home to some of the embassies which didn’t quite make it to the Rockcliffe area (for example, Benin and Vietnam). Along Bank Street are a host of upmarket antiques, jewellery and clothes shops. Its southern flank has recently been completed by an entire shopping Andrea food village adjacent to the new Landsdowne Stadium which accommodates a Farmers’ Market every Sunday.
