The Guinness Book of World Records 2007 titled the bar - the smallest permanent licensed bar in the world 8.53m2. More than 300 Whiskies from all over the world are available to drink. The own Whiskyline is also in the bar and in the internet shop on hand. A Whisky Museum offers tastings in a special location. Bookings are required for the Museum.
Having spotted this place on the bus to Müstair, my wife and I decided to walk there for a visit. It did not disappoint! Although the museum and bar were closed due to COVID, we were given a splendid tour and explanation of the distilling facilities by Gunter Sommer. He gave generously of his time, and answered all our questions. He has some great stories to tell. The quality and popularity of his whiskies speak for themselves: there was very little left to buy! We were able to enjoy a guided tasting with Gunter before our departure. A thoroughly memorable experience. We hope to return one day!

We are not quite a museum in the conventional sense, More like a carefully collected assortment of everything whiskey, but still very much a pub! We have literally hundreds of whiskeys to taste and savor in an atmosphere paying homage to the world's best known spirit. We offer daily tastings in our specially designed air conditioned tasting room, check out or website for more information on this. The Salzburg Whiskey Museum, imagine a 1920 speakeasy, so a cosy old fashioned pub where many aspects of time appear to have stood still. Step into another world; A world filled with history, drinks, music, character and, of course whiskey. We are located right in the heart of Salzburg's amazing Old Town a few meters away from hotel Sacher and even Mozarts former home. We are also well known for our creamy pints of Guinness and assortment of premium Gin&Tonics. We hope to see you soon the Salzburg Whiskey Museum Team
After a little bit of research, I went in here for a few drinks in the summer and we then got onto the topic of whiskey tastings at the venue. Fast forward a few months and after speaking with Chris personally in organising the Whiskey tastings, we went along and he gave one of the most professional and fun tastings I have ever done. A very good range of whiskies, with information about each and nibbles to accompany the whisky. The evening went so well that we have booked for the premium tasting in October. Great job and would highly recommend to anyone, whether it is tastings or just for a few pints.

Augustiner Braustubl is an incredible beer hall in a beautiful city. The old wooden hall is spacious, with plenty of seating for your own party or for mingling with strangers/soon-to-be-friends. Food stalls line the hallway outside of the main hall, and you can get all kinds of delicious eats and treats, from brats to butter cheese (so good!) to olives, breads, desserts. Plenty of options. As for the beer, it's tasty (there were two kinds when we were there, but they tasted pretty similar: smooth and highly drinkable), cheap for the area (something like 7 euro for a liter?), and easy to get: you grab a stein off the shelf, pay the person at the window, get a ticket, and then get your beer. The beer sloshes, some spills on the sticky floor, you take it away and drink it, rinse out your stein, and repeat. Would go again for sure, and highly recommend it to others. There's a paid parking lot onsite, which makes things easy.
