The memorial site dedicated to those who lost their lives on United Airlines Flight 93, September 11, 2001.
This memorial is a beautiful tribute to those brave hero’s who have their life’s to saves others. It was very emotional and I felt like crying. This is a must see place.

Great ride with our granddaughter on Fathers Day. The rides are reasonably priced and good for an all-day ride. The ride goes out to the end of the line and you switch cars, so each ride offers at least 2 different trollers. There is trolley and area history shared on the ride, along with a stop at the “barn” to see other trolleys. The trolley boarding is right across from the old Broad Top Railroad Station. Great family time with some history thrown in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to DeBence Antique Music World. We went on a Friday afternoon and were given a wonderful tour of the DeBence collection, complete with many demonstrations. The volunteer docents were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and were very accommodating, finding instruments that would interest our son, and even allowed him the opportunity to play several. As others have mentioned, you may walk around on a self-guided tour for free, or pay a very modest fee (amount varies depending on your age) for a guided tour (well worth the $ to hear the fascinating stories behind the instruments). Well worth the trip if you are traveling through Pennsylvania.

I stopped here today and was very pleased. I loved seeing all his stuff. Mr. Rogers was a great man and I’m so happy to see his legacy will live on. Please stop if you’re passing through the area. You will enjoy it. The whole building is really nice. :)

Amazing facility tucked in central Pennsylvania. Ask for a short tour to discover all aspects the Philatelic Center offers. The library is a valuable asset to those who love research. As this was my first visit, I found it tricky to find. Once you pull into the Match Factory parking lot - head toward PA career link to stop sign, turn right to drive back and find Philatelic in rear.

Play over 400 classic video games and pinball machines as well as learning about the history of gaming at our museum. Play the rarest games in the world, all your favorites and many more. Pinball PA is an interactive museum where you can see and learn about all the classics in video game history, as well as trying everything to learn just what made these great pieces so fun and entertaining to several generations of people!
This place truly feels like you traveled back in time to an arcade from the 70s/80s (no flux capacitor required). Aside from a wide variety of old arcade games and pinball machines as far as the eye could see, they truly nailed the aesthetic and vibe of arcades from decades past. My only complaint is that I wasn’t able to play every game, but that only gives me another reason to come back. Will definitely be making more trips to this place. Truly one of the hidden gems in western PA.

On May 31, 1889, a neglected dam and a phenomenal storm led to a catastrophe in which 2,209 people died. It’s a story of great tragedy, but also of triumphant recovery. Visit the Johnstown Flood Museum, which is operated by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association, to find out more about this shocking episode in American history. It features an Academy Award-winning documentary, artifacts, exhibits and more.
Fascinating back story to the flood that killed more than 2,200 people. Wish it actually had even more on display (especially about the flood of 1977) but what it does offer is a detailed look at the events leading up to, the day of and the recovery from the flood of 1889 that left 27,000 people homeless and killed thousands. Informative displays and a good place to visit ahead of the National Park dedicated to the flood.
