Didn’t do the tour but the staff couldn’t be friendlier and let us do some tasting and look round the shop area! Had a lovely chat with one of the girls behind the counter that spoke perfect English and told us a lot about the museum anyway! We will be back for the tour another day!!

Les Jardins de l'Imaginaire

We had a guided tour, in French, which really helped to understand the garden and its design. However, it seems a shame that you can't then wander round at will. There are so many spaces that are designed for sitting and contemplating, and you don't have time to do this - it's not a fast-paced walk, but you do have to keep moving on. I see someone else visited without a guided tour on a special weekend - if possible, I would recommend the guide first, and then a leisurely stroll. We returned in the evening for their summer 'Spectacle du feu'. We had reserved tickets by email before leaving for France, as it was only on on Tuesday nights. We paid early on Tuesday evening, went to watch the boat jousting on the river while we waited, then went to the Spectacle. 2 euros each, take a picnic rug to sit on. We had fire performers (juggling, and making pretty patterns) and a laser show. About an hour in total, and then enough time to catch the last of the loops of video-mapping on Saint Sour church.
