Pedra do Sino is located in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, at an altitude of 2,275m. It is the highest point in the Serra dos Órgãos Moutain Range. Our tour begins at the entrance of the Park in Teresópolis city, and we will continue towards the Beija-Flor River Dam, the starting point of the trail. The course is done on average in 6 hours of walking. During the trail we can observe the transition from the rich vegetation of the Atlantic Forest to the vegetation of high altitude fields. Almost reaching the summit there is a mountain shelter known as Shelter 4 where we will spend teh night. This place serves as a shelter for those who make the Petrópolis x Teresópolis Crossing too. On the next day we will enjoy one of the most beautiful sunrises in Brazil at the Sino's Summit.  Transport from Rio and main meals are included.

To get there, we have to start the hike from the entrance of Teresópolis city, and the ascent does not last more than 4 hours. The trail is 11 kilometers / 6,8 miles (one way). There is a plenty of fresh water and waterfalls on the path. The two waterfalls on the way are good stopping options. From above, the view is simply wonderful, and allows us to see the main landmarks of the region, such as the Dedo de Deus, the Garrafão and the Escalavrado, as well as the Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro and the Atlantic Ocean. After reaching the summit, the guide will lead the group to explore the incredible sights, plants and animals. This hike is recommended for people in good physical condition and with an adventure spirit. At the end of the day, we will return to Rio and stop on the way with some free time for a snack.

A simple trail, with little difficulty, but well inclined in some parts, is made in an average time of 45 minutes, but the best of it are the points that unveil a Rio de Janeiro you never saw, we observe the whole neighborhood of São Conrado , the Rocinha Favela seen from above, Lagoon, Sugar Loaf, the beaches of Leblon and Ipanema, besides that beautiful sea, but let's not talk about everything here so as not to spoil the surprise.
