This was part of an organised trip. If you can only park near the gate it is a 1.5km walk. The rangers call the orangatan after 9 so you can see them feeding at 10. We where very lucky to see one, however it is pot luck. Also if they spot one you need to move to the place quickly. It is not for the infirm or probables with walking. I would also recommend mosquito replant and long trousers with trainers. They are leeches and ticks in certain areas. It is worth the trip.
The vibrant coral reef right in front of Pulau Kapas is just beautiful. It is a great spot for snorkeling, kayaking and relaxing on the beach. The work Kapas is the Malay word for cotton and refers to the pure white sandy beaches found here. Barely bigger than 3 km, this little drop of tropical paradise in the South China Sea is as idyllic as it gets. A few beach chalets scatter against the backdrop of the jungle.

A trip to kampung Pasir Raja wouild be like ‘balik kampung or going back to one’s hometown. What you get is the traditional village life where things are kept simple but the experience can be quite priceless. It may be too short a time to spend in a village where local culture and traditional values are kept close to the hearts of the locals in Kampung Pasir Raja but it should be enough to give you an appreciation of the hospitality and welcoming nature of the village folks. Lata Cemerung is located inner land of Dungun , it is the tallest waterfall in Terengganu state. You will pass by Bukit Besi which was once an iron mining mountain. Not far from the mountain you will see a bolt of snowy white cloth falling like a curtain from a rocky mountain in front of you.

The Terengganu River flows from Lake Kenyir , a steady flow of river upstream was not something that was known. Most of the oral stories that descend from generation to generation have been forgotten. the river was a mode of transportation by early settlers upstream on makeshift bamboo rafts that were force to catch a rugged and rocky river ride to Kuala Terengganu. The early settlers used small shrimp and sell in the market to buy salt and clothing. The ride on bamboo rafts to Kuala Terengganu took about 50 KM an average of four to five days for every trip. From the Terengganu river you could travel to Kenyir Lake which borders Kelantan in the west and Pahang in the south and also a gateway to Taman Negara national Park.

Pulau Kapas is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places you will ever visit. It’s truly an island paradise that has a strange power to keep you there longer than you planned on staying. It’s not a rich and glamorous place with tons of 5 Star Resorts or expensive restaurants. It’s a very minimalistic island, which is what makes it so special. There’s not tons of electricity, or decent internet connection — meaning it’s the perfect holiday escape. The beach is amazing, the water is perfect, and you’ll be left speechless when you first arrive.
