Fantastic large caves putside of Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. Got there with GF by rental car. At the entrance is a parking lot with some vendors. You have to pay some extra for parking. Recommend having fresh coconut milk from coconut sold by a vendor there. Cheap (cash only), very refreshing. Some vendors take credit card. Only water permitted in the caves. Thr caves are breathtaking. My GF suffers from claustrophobia but did not have a problem here as the caves are massive. You go in with a group from the entrance with a guide. If you know a bit of cave terminology, a bit of Spanish, a bit of christian iconography, you will understand most of what the guide says (ours only spoke in Spanish). You can later walk around on your own and exit on your own. Guide points out some unusual cave formations highlighted by a guide control ligting system that you would otherwise miss. Recommend bringing a good flash light if you want to exit at your own pace. All the walking is on a well maintained designated path. Well worth the visit. Located 20-30 minutes from Taxco where we stayed for a couple of nights.

TEPOZTLAN is a very picturesque and mystical town, full of crafts, color, tradition and delicious cuisine, when you arrive at this magical place, you will be totally captivated with its cobblestone streets and the facades of its houses uniformly decorated, with a colonial and harmonic style which contrasts with the beautiful CERRO DEL TEPOZTECO, where a pyramid is located, strategically built at 600 m. on the level of the town of Tepoztlan, These archaeological remains were built between 1150 and 1350 AD, in their days these vestiges were dedicated to Ometochtli-Tepoxtécatl, deity of pulque, fecundity and harvest, the Tepozteco was declared a Protected Natural Area in 1937 To reach the top, it is necessary to make a trekking of approximately 1 hour, where you will be contemplating a changing landscape as you ascend, good physical condition, sports shoes or trekking boots and comfortable clothes are required.

Bamba are very professional and helpful company. Made things very easy for us, especially with the 2 border crossings we encountered. Sometimes there was a mis-communication issue and we ended up missing an experience because of this but Bamba was hot on it and offered us another tour in place of the one we missed out on. I loved our bus pass and although they obviously charge at a profit, I think it's worth it as there is no hassle or stress - which as a traveller with anxiety disorder, I found this perfect! All staff and tour operators were friendly :) I can't wait to book my next trip with you. Please do one in Japan/South Korea? Thank you Bamba!!!
On this tour you will be part of the cultural wealth knowing two magical towns that have preserved the roots of our colonial Mexico. We recommend you to get away for a weekend to get to know Tepoztlán and Yautepec. We will visit the Dominican Temple that dates from the 16th century and preserves indigenous art in European culture. Later, we will know the colonial style that the architecture of the Hacienda San Carlos keeps. After lunch, we will visit the wonderful magical town of Tepoztlán with unique landscapes worthy of admiration such as Cerro del Tepozteco.

Every part of the trip was planned to the smalest of the detail and went smootly. Not a single problem. We visited several places that normally you do not visit in a regular trip because this tour operator knows the places, the culture, the locals, the food, arts and crafts where you participate in the making of local art objects and interact with the local people, not only visit the places. The guides are with you at all times, are very knowledgeable and helpfull and know every inch of the tour. You feel very secure with them. The best experience in an organized tour I have ever had.
Rotamundos Experiencias takes you on an ATV trip through the charming destination of Tepoztlán, we will walk through its streets and get to know part of its buildings and structures, as well as its archaeological zone to reach Monte Castillo, a mythical town located on the slopes of the Cerro.
