WALK OF MEDIUM DIFFICULTY with beautiful panoramic views of Vradal and the lakes Nisser and Vravatn. This makes a lovely walk, whether you choose to go the whole way or only part of it. After you get past Stemnetten, there are 360- degree views the whole way. The ground is mainly rock, but there are some damp stretches. Wear good footwear and a windbreaker! YOU CAN START at Vradal ski centre and head up to Tverrfjellet, either by cable car or on foot. You can also start at Stemnetten. Take the road with the toll barrier (there is a box where you can pay) to the top of the hill. The path, shown in red on the map, starts there, and heads past Luktarhola, Sveigefjell, Brennstoylnuten and Haegefjellskardet, and on up to the top of Mount Haegefjell. From Haegefjell you return by the same path. It is also possible to continue down to Nissedal and Fjone.

By avoiding the mainstream going up the most common route, we will guide you via an alternative route up the NW ridge. After gaining some altitude and scrambling some boulders we will get to the ridge. By following the ridge the summit will be in range after some nice passages and scaling boulders. With 1692 meter on one side and 962 on the other makes this trip an exciting and memorable one. During our tour there will be some scrambling and very easy climbing, nothing that will not be in your ability to fulfil.

The M/B Fjellvaken takes you on a wonderful trip across Lake Mosvatn from Skinnarbu to Mogen Turisthytte, a 40 kilometre trip. The boat passes mountain farms and sails through beautiful scenery on its journey, which lasts about 2 hours. Mogen is an ideal starting point for hiking on the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. The boat can also be chartered for extra trips and sightseeing trips.

Rjukan and Tinn Guideservice arranges guided tour along the famous Saboteur trail, which is the way the world-famous Norwegian Resistance used during the Second World War to get from the Hardangervidda mountain plain and down the steep gorge to Vemork to blow up the heavy water factory. The trail is 8 km long, and takes about 3 hours. This tour does not included crossing of the gorge. Transportation: From Oslo: there are buses going from Oslo to Rjukan several times a day. Take the local bus from the town centre to Vaer. Please notise, that this local bus has few departures. With private car, follow E18 towards Drammen - then follow E134 to Kongsberg and RV37 to Rjukan. Drive west through the centre of Rjukan and follow the road to Vaer, and turn left on the sign to Norsk industriarbeidermuseum (The Norwegian Industrial Workers' Museum). During the summerseason, there will be public transport from the parking lot and up to Rjukan Fjellstue, where the guided tour start. Gaustabanen, the cable car inside Gaustatoppen mountain has been a well-kept secret. Gaustabanen consists of a battery driven car on a cable that carries passengers approximately 860 metres horizontally up inside the mountain. Right in the centre of the mountain there is a station, with an angled shuttle line of 1040 metres that rises to 1800 metres above sea level. From the top, there is an exit to the so-called Tuddalstippen, situated right under the Gaustatoppen Tourist Cabin.

M/S Fram offers sightseeing on the lakes Nisser in Vrådal. The two lake offers narrow straits, beaches and locks. On board you can enjoy the famous waffles as well as icecream, chocolate, soft drinks, beer and wine.M/S Fram sails scheduled tours from May to October and max capacity is 90 persons. She was built in 1909 for the purpose of tugging timber on the Nisser and Vråvatn lakes. In 1986 she was rebuilt into the passenger boat she is today.
