Fabulous authentic experience cooking dinner with Inez! The location is amazing with a stunning view over Tavira and out to sea. We were welcomed by Inez and there followed a relaxed informative and fun few hours preparing a three course meal. Each course was simple but delicious and we were guided gently through the techniques by Inez whilst she passed on a wealth of information about Portuguese gastronomy . Dinner outside under the starts in the beautiful garden was delightful. We can't wait for our next visit. Thank you for making it so special.

Fado Com Historia, is a Touristical Attraction in Tavira. Located in the historical area of the beautiful city of Tavira, right next to Misericordia Church, there's 'Fado com Historia' auditorium in which we perform daily fado shows Monday to Saturday. It is a stylish place with capacity for over 40 people, equipped with a video system and a real Fado atmosphere. Fado music is UNESCO's Intangible Heritage of Humanity since 2011. In this venue you can enjoy a 45 minute live show with Portuguese Guitar, Classical Guitar and Voice, performing some of the most representative Fados, chosen from our vast repertoire, and adapted to the audience. We have also 'merchandise' that the visitor can acquire a multimedia presentation that illustrates some of the most emblematic moments and images of Fado Music. The Show includes a video +Live Concert + Port Wine Tasting Timetable - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:00p.m. and Saturday - 3:00p.m. (at Misericordia Church)
If you are not familiar with Fado as a musical art form, then this is a great introduction. A short history of Fado is provided by way of a short film, followed by stirring live performances of several pieces of music, some soulful, some very upbeat - all of them from the hearts of the three very talented musicians. Very intimate venue, well worth the 8 euro pp admission fee. Highly recommended.

The day began by getting a ferry from Tavira to Tavira island 2 euro each return, on arrival at the island we were greeted with miles and miles of sandy beach, there was bars and restaurants along the beach, the only thing to be aware of is that there were nudist bathing on the beach, not sure if this is common practise as there was no signs anywhere displaying nudist beach.

This is the best beach in the Easter Algarve, in my opinion, take the little train across the Ria Formosa, to the ex tuna fishing village, that now forms a complex of eateries and shops, next to a beautiful beach. In summer lie back and relax, winter take a brisk walk on the beach.

Between Praia da Ilha de Tavira and Praia do Barril in Tavira island narrows, resulting in a strip of sand about 50 yards wide, called Praia da Terra Estreita. It is from the picturesque fishing village of Santa Luzia where boats leave to cross to the island.
If you have the patience to queue in line for the ferry and for the trip across the lagoon, you'll be rewarded. Beautiful beach, with some shallow water for the smaller kids and crystalline water. There's a bar and straw parasols for hire plus lots of free beach.
