I was very impressed by this small museum. This year’s theme is embroidery and there are pieces from evening gowns and uniforms to buttons, hats, waistcoats and shoes. The clothes are in superb condition and well displayed and lit. I took two teenagers who go round most museums at a run, but they were captivated and said they’d come away with inspiration for their own projects. The shop next door is a delight and sensibly priced for vintage items. I do hope the museum can expand one day - it’s good, and more would be even better.

The most magnificent thing about this great feat of medieval engineering is the views of the old city, the cathedral and the Barbie, beautiful stroll

Kudos to the gardeners who design and maintain this garden. It’s truly spectacular. I appreciate the effort it takes to create something beautiful like this. You can walk around and enjoy the views (I don’t think you can wander on ground level though, there was someone raking the pebbles when we went). There are gorgeous views of the bridges over the river and the beauty all around. Lots of great photo ops.

Château fort templier remanié à la renaissance situé en plein vignoble de Gaillac et entièrement restauré par le peintre bistes. Classé parmi les 50 plus belles demeures de France.
We booked a triple room in Château de Mauriac for my birthday. We arrived in the evening and had a very pleasant welcome from the castle guide. The property is quite unique: it has a very original decoration, but also a spirit and style. All rooms are different and have authentic furniture and items. The owner is the artist Emmanuel Biste, who fully renovated the castle and filled it with his own creations. We had a very pleasant stay in the castle and we highly recommend it for the people who love history, art and sincere hospitality! We also would like to thank all the châtelains for their smiles and kindness!

The center of the high city, beautiful covered market square, shade and nice atmosphere, unmissable if you stroll in town.
