The political, scientific, historical, architectural and business center of Russia, Moscow displays the country's contrasts at their most extreme. The ancient and modern are juxtaposed side by side in this city of 10 million. Catch a metro from one of the ornate stations to see Red Square, the Kremlin, the nine domes of St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum, the KGB Museum and other symbols of Moscow's great and terrible past, then lighten up and shop Boulevard Ring or people watch in Pushkin Square.

Igor Butman Jazz Club is a legendary jazz venue and a landmark of Russian jazz history. For more than 20 years Igor Butman Club has been a place where the new history of Russian jazz is born and jazz life is in the full swing. Launched by Igor Butman in 1999, the Butman Club (known then as Le Club) became a genuine window to the international jazz world for Russian jazz lovers, and it’s not an exaggeration. Starting its long, bright and eventful history with concert series by such jazz greats as Ray Brown, Jimmy Smith, Elvin Jones, McCoy Tyner, Joe Zawinul, Roy Hargrove, Ron Carter, Billy Cobham, the club has continued it with presenting shows by Medeski, Martin & Wood, Robert Glasper, Chris Potter, Christian McBride, Avishai Cohen, Dave Grusin and Lee Ritenour (to name a few) in the recent few years.
