Pionier Cinema is the oldest cinema in the world (Guinness World Records), opened as Helios on Sep 26th 1909 ans still operating today. Part of prestigious Europa Cinemas international film theatre network.
Mała: I like small cinemas with less popular movies. This one is very atmospheric. Duży: Apart from the fact that this cinema is one of the oldest, it’s comfortable and affordable. I’d rather go there than any of the huge franchise cinemas.

AXE NATION is a club that brings together axe throwing fanatics from all over the world. Axe throwing has become a major hit in the Canada, that’s why we decided to introduce this unique way of spending your free time in our beautiful country. It is about time we restore the glory of this primal, yet extremely satisfying entertainment! If you are looking for a perfect place for stag do or teambulding – you have just found it!
Although Szczcecin is a fascinating city, sometimes you may struggle to keep your teenagers interested - which is where Axe Nation comes in. We visited with our two teenage sons and spent over two hours hurling axes at the wall. Our host taught us the basic throwing technique, showed us a few games and left us to it. With practice everyone improved and we all had a great laugh together. This is was a superb family bonding event. And because we went earlier in the day, we had the whole venue to ourselves. Highly recommended - and great value too. TIP: You can enter from ul. Jagiellońska through the gate at number 35 and then doubling back on yourself when you see the big Eagle statue next to the warehouse-looking building.

A stunning building, rebuilt post-war after the then German city of Stettin was heavily bombed in 1944. The interior is incredibly lofty and so large that an ordinary camera simply can't catch its immensity. Access is available for a requested charge of 2 Euros or 8 Zloty (Sep 2019), a bargain for the experience. Access to the tower is also available for a supplementary fee. Whether you have religious leanings or not, understand the Polish language or not, listening to a sung Eucharist is an extraordinary experience.

The new seat of the Szczecin Philharmonic was erected at the junction of two streets, Małopolska and Matejki, at the plot where 130 years ago the Concert House (Konzerthaus) commenced its activity. Since 1884 it served as city’s musical center. The building was severely damaged during warfare, and in 1962 it was finally pulled down. The new facility, in line with the intention of its authors, is based on respecting the surroundings and history of the location, co-creating a friendly urban space and at the same time intriguing everyone with bold solutions and original shape of building’s body. According to the intention of the designers, the building reflects the musical order and construction of the instrument whose physical structure becomes filled with life and sounds. For the first time the building of the Philharmonic in Szczecin filled with music in September 2014. This is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Szczecin’s music experience.

Welcome to the unforgettable world of parrots, where you can feed them from your hand, pat and take amazing pictures
It was fun to observe, feed and play with many different parrots. Birds aren't scared of people, you can pet them, and sometimes their land on your arm. Remember to take your jewellery off, because birds are ready to destroy it with their hard beaks. I took lots of pictures there. Birds were lovely :)
