Best beach in Syros. Fine white sand, shallow waters and at least one excellent taverna two steps from the sea. Could get rather crowded in summer but we enjoyed it quiet in the first days of season after the lockdown.

Galissas beach is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches of the island. This is a fully organized beach which offers all kinds of comforts. Guests can swim in the crystal clear waters, relax on the golden sand, enjoy unique flavors in the taverns of the village and head to the chapel of Agia Pakou from where the view is magnificent. The beach is easily accessible either by bus or by private boat.
This was a great beach. Nice sand, sheltered bay, very shallow for a long distance so even those who cannot swim so well can enjoy it. I loved the walkway around it, you can also climb the hill next to beach to a church with a view of the beach and surrounding area.

This is an amazing flat sandy beach with warm water and beautiful surroundings. Well laid out beach with sun beds and umbrellas in front of bars and restaurants. Great price of 5 euro for a drink and sunbed. As it was end of September, it wasn't too crowded making it peaceful and relaxing. Must see in Syros
