What to do and see in Sydney, New South Wales: The Best Day Trips from

September 14, 2021 Roger Rusk

Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

I booked a session at a tricky time as the restriction just started to lift but not completely. It’s for my husband’s birthday so I really want to do it. I wrote them an email not expecting reply due to the lock down however got a reply very quickly. They made the booking and also kept me in contact with any updates. On the day, the staff is very helpful and did all the procedures for COVID-19. We played the mad mind which is easy to start and really enjoyable. The equipment is in very good condition and the whole place is maintained at a high hygiene standard. When we finished, the staff even came in to show some photos he took for us when we were in the game world. We are very happy with the experience!

Even now, as the more established wineries enter their third decade, relative newcomers continue to join the party. And what better way to start a party than with a glass of Southern Highlands bubbles? During the day sample wines from three of the most highly-rated wineries in the Southern Highlands and enjoy a hearty lunch at Australia’s oldest continuously licensed inn. Have a group of 6 or more? it was a fun and engaging tour! I managed to learn a lot today. I like how you try to link various parts of the tour to portray a holistic story of the history of circular Quay. The in depth knowledge of Macquarie was also interesting, and is especially engaging for audiences as a leitmotif. Thank you for the wonderful tour!

We joined Matt on his online bushwalk as a special activity for our mostly migrant adult leaners and their teachers. As a group of Melbournians in the middle of lockdown we especially appreciated the magnificent views, the trees, the feeling of fresh bush air, the off-track experience and Matt's fabulous commentary. He made it enjoyable and educational for all of us and I would highly recommend this tour for a taste of the Aussie Bush!

My husband and I received a birthday voucher for this experience from our children, and it was certainly money well spent. Jimmy the owner from start to finish produced a magical day for us all, from an insight into the functionality of the fish markets and breakfast in Brooklyn, to preparing gourmet dishes to pair with the lovely wines at each winery visited in the Hunter Valley. We would certainly recommend this tour to everyone and hope to have the opportunity to experience it again in the near future.
