Skydive Switzerland

We are a highly experienced team of skydivers who love to share the spirit of skydiving with travelers and thrill seekers from all over the world and locals alike. With high standards of safety, comfort and personal service, we value nothing more than enabling you to share the joy of a tandem skydive and the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Skydive Switzerland jumps every day of the year as long as the weather permits. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Swiss Alps during the 10-15 minute scenic flight to altitude, followed by jumping out of an airplane or helicopter from 13,000 ft and a 45-second adrenaline-pumping freefall.

Muggestutz Zwergenweg

Adventures on the Dwarf Trail Dwarves have long been present in our valley and Muggestutz is the oldest Hasli dwarf. Some of his adventures have been written about and children can relive his adventures on the trail between Mägisalp and Bidmi. They will enjoy the pinecone drying platform, the eagle swing, the caves and much more! Hiking time for the 5km dwarf trail from Mägisalp via Gummenalp to Bidmi is approx. 2 hrs. Starting point is approx. 100m below the Mägisalp restaurant. The trail leads gently down across alpine meadows and through pine forests.

Alpenwild

Reviewed By DaidHiker

I recently completed Alpenwild’s Eiger-Matterhorn Trek, which is a beautiful trip. It has some really great hikes over high passes and some spectacular sightseeing. Because these trips can be expensive, in money and time commitment, my comments are more extensive than usual. Pre-Trip Process. Working with Alpenwild to book a trip is a delight. We worked with Tessa C., who answered many, many questions; helped us coordinate a follow-on self-guided hike; and worked through the many options on Swiss rail tickets. Alpenwild provides a true turnkey service, beginning at the airport of arrival and ending at departure. This makes travel much easier. Hiking Route. The trip is very well designed. While the hiking is deferred a day after arrival, this is in order to allow a trip on the train through the Eiger to the Jungfrauhoch. Once you work your way through the crowds and shops, the views are simply breathtaking. The hike includes two very long and rewarding days over high passes, with a rest day in between. The views are consistently rewarding and beautiful. The guides made smart decisions on when to use lifts and gondolas along the way. This maximized our time hiking with views and limited the time hiking under cable lines. Accommodations and Meals. On this trip, the accommodations were very nice and at the top end of what is available in some of the locales. Zermatt is the highlight for accommodations, with a stay at a truly luxurious hotel. Everything else was very fine to very good. The half board dinners included with the trip ranged from good to excellent. There were some places with no menu choices at all, but that is customary at some of the smaller places. There were some nights when the ordering was fully a la carte, which was a nice break. The mix of hut and picnic lunches was spot on. The guides, Louis W-E and Tom C. (see below) laid out excellent picnics that were truly enjoyable. It is good to mix the hut meals and picnics because of the time it takes to order, eat and pay at the huts. The fact that the Alpenwild includes soft drinks and bottled water really moves the process along when settling the bill. Guides. Our guides, Louis W-E and Tom C., were stars. Louis W-E was the lead guides. His knowledge is vast and made the trip more interesting. He set an excellent and careful pace for the hikers. He was very attentive to safety details and the well-being of the group. The simplest way to summarize is that I would select an Alpenwild trekking trip simply based on the identification of Louis as lead guide. The assistant guide, Tom C., also was just great. His climbing, trekking and mountaineering background added a lot to the trip, and he worked hard as could be. His ability to read the landscape, which he had not seen before, added to my experience. Louis and Tom also had great people skills. They were careful to maintain a steady group pace, not letting the “jackrabbits” set a pace that was too fast and also not letting the slower hikers slow down the entire group. Louis and Tom also mingled with all the hikers. This is an excellent skill, and I have been on guided trips where the failure of the guides to mix caused resentments. All in all, this is a great trip. While perhaps not as hard as the Tour de Mont Blanc or the Haute Route, the two high passes are as difficult as any days on any other hike. And the change to see the Eiger/Munch/Jungfrau and the 4000-meter peaks around Zermatt in one trip is truly wonderful.

It's a great place to come here with friends or family. You have several options to do. You park your car in Wasserauen and you can go up with the luftseilbahn to Ebenalp, Where you can enjoy the spectacular view and you can visit the house called Wildkirchli, then you do a 2,5 hrs long hike down the mountain to Lake Seealp. The other option is, after you parked your car in Wasserauen, that you hike about 1,5 hrs on the following road or in the forest to Lake Seealp and then you enjoy the atmosphere and the view, and after you walk back on foot to your parking place.

Overstated Title? maybe just a little, BUT our group of 13 ranged in ages from 17-81 years old and Clay Shoot Zermatt gave us an opportunity to all compete in a fun activity for an hour and a half. The beer and wine helped with the competitiveness but what a great experience we had. Kirk was the ultimate host, teacher and referee. He made our experience even better. Some of us never shot a gun before and you would be surprised by the end who is the best. Our timing was perfect as we went for a hike in the morning and then we had a slight drizzle in the afternoon while we were shooting. Since you are well protected in the local made hut, we stayed dry and very happy. If you have a large group or even a competitive small team, this is a great experience to learn with modified real guns in a safe environment. BTW, we learned that our 81 year old Father was a sharp shooter in the reserves and of course he won our groups' betting and competition. Give it a "shot" (sorry) you will not be disappointed.

Zurich Succulent Plant Collection

I love succulents so thought I'd come and visit. Great decision! Free entry, spend as much time as you like here to walk around. The succulents are phenomenal. They're huge specimens! Has a lovely outdoor seating area - (and a coffee vending machine inside if you'd like to get a coffee) - so feel free to take some time out. Can buy some plants here - but only a very small selection. I'd have loved to buy some of the plants they were growing in the outdoor greenhouses - they looked amazing. Lovely walk around the lake to get to / from it. A lovely way to spend some time if you're mad about succulents.
