Lovely experience - guides were experienced and fun - very engaging and reassuring. They take photos that you pay for but quality was good. They let you try out flying on your own and even will do some stunts but only if you agree. The whole experience was very positive and my teenage daughters loved it - a real highlight and you see a lot of the mountains and waterfalls. A touch expensive but worth it.

Although I didn't end up skiing because I sucked at it :D , but outdoor- interlaken provided above and beyond services. Hotel pick up was on time, then they drove us first to their store to get changed and get the skis. The people in the store were very nice and helped us find the perfect pants, boots and skis. Then we got picked up by Alan, the instructor, and drove us up to the mountain. Alan was super patient with us , and we had an amazing skiing experience.

The train is quaint, and the views amazing (we did the Panoramaweg walk, which actually is not for the faint of heart). However the train is quite small and slow (a fast walking pace), so it takes a good 50 minutes to make the trip each way. Even in the middle of the week in the off season, it was crowded. Everyone is loaded into the quite small carriage with bench seating, so you have to snuggle up. Even though everyone was wearing a mask, being in a small airless carriage with 30 or so other people didn't feel safe. In fact the folks next to us objected to being asked to board the train with so many people, but since the train is the only way down other than walking, they had no choice. In fact, they got off half way down, presumably to walk the rest of the way. They should really put the train to at least half capacity. I'd avoid this experience until Covid is no longer an issue.

Recently I had to cancel our train trip through Italy and Switzerland. I was able to obtain a refund on all the Italian train fares but no changes or refunds are permitted by Swiss rail. Swiss train fares are very high by world standards and while I appreciate the terms are non refundable, Swiss rail gives you no opportunity to purchase a refundable/changeable pass. Take care when purchasing a Swiss rail pass as plans can change.
